Living Room Coffeehouse La Jolla

Nice place. Their servers are very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with the portion of party plate of Kebabs, Irish peach mint hookah, and variety of desserts.

I went to the counter and the server was busy, and suggested I go to the kiosk to order. I selected a Hawaiian cake and an iced vanilla chai frappe , half caf. I was then told they did not have the cake, and they could not to the frappe half caf. It was disappointing. They refunded me quickly which was a painless process. Nonetheless, the iced frappe was excellent. I would recommend looking to see what they have in terms of their pastries selection at the counter as the kiosk was not up-to-date when I visited.

On Saturday July 5 we ordered 2 appetizers and a sandwich and waited for 1.5 hour and still didn't get it. The owners need to hire more people to give better service.

It’s a Least Important Person in the Room experience. Do you want to not get served, do you want to be ignored, do you like sitting for an hour an a half and have them come to you once. Then this is the place for you, the old Livingroom was really nice, the new living room is like their Old Fashion, Out of Fashion

This was the last restaurant we stopped at before leaving La Jolla. We went early for breakfast. The service was fantastic. The decor was beautiful. I loved watching the employee at the cafe counter greet her regulars and often have their drinks ready for them when they walked in. I wished we had visited earlier in our stay so I would have known I would have loved to come back for a later in the day meal!

The interior is amazing and the service was stellar however the $5 small slab of Brownie I purchased was hard,crumbly and seriously lacked flavor. Not sure if it was days old or what but it was pretty dissapointing considering I could bake my own for $2 a box. Please consider making your desserts more edible!

Love the new venue! Looks great. Very spacious, lots of room, vibe or feeling of being someplace else… like European vibes. Fabulous for events. Wanna check out a live music event there. One feedback I had was that cigar smoke was coming in through the window to their patio and it came all the way into the main living room area. Yuck! Either prohibit cigar smoke in the patio or close that window! The drinks were okay… nothing extraordinary but like a price to sit in this nice space. Have not yet tried the food, will try next time.
The location/ venue is worth the visit. If the drinks / food is even better, I’d be scared they’d be too busy / crowded with popularity!

Beautiful venue! There is a very great coffee shop in the front and hookah lounge in the back. I would 100% rent this venue out for an event. The food is good. Coffee is good. Hookah is good. Staff is nice. Great place to study or hang out with friends.

Living room has always had a spot in La Jolla, but they moved into a new place so I thought I’d check it out. They did lose the view of the ocean, but the space is much larger for the entertainment that they provide on Friday and Saturday and the menu of food has expanded.

It is nice but the owners/people who run it just hang out and talk which isn’t very peaceful when you go to work/study. Food is great.
