For $15, I basically got just sour cream and guacamole wrapped in an extremely large tortilla and barely any meat inside of my burrito. Super sad experience. He even asked for a napkin was an issue.

We picked up food for takeout, ordered tostada with no beans, vegetarian enchilada plate combo, and chips and guac. The tostada came with beans and looked absolutely nothing like the picture. Couldn’t even eat it. They were nice enough to refund that when I called on the phone. However, the chips and guac was also extremely disappointing. We received maybe 1/4 of guacamole of the picture shown on the online order page. And then the vegetarian enchiladas had a piece of chicken in them. The taste was not bad itself but very disappointed at the overall experience.
Lolita’s used to be a regular part of my rotation and I’ve seen a few posts on social media complaining about the amount of fries they use in their California Burrito to reduce costs on other ingredients. Turns out those complaints are a part of a larger pattern and this is how they’re making their food now.
This is what my Cali burrito looked like for lunch today and it’s just embarrassing. It’s one thing to keep prices low and do stuff like this, but when you’re increase prices faster than the competition and on top of that you’re pulling this BS, it’s a slap in the face to your customers.
There are way too many other Mexican food options in SD. After 15 years of being a Lolita’s supporter, sad to say I won’t be coming back here anymore.
Was told they have a really good cali burrito

Lolita’s current rating is far outdated. Their once beloved California burrito has become a cash grab for the business as it’s now 95% french fries with only the scent of carne asada and cheese. Please see photo of this borderline criminal burrito!

If you like $13.00 french fry burritos, this is the place for you.
Service was great. They were constantly cleaning tables as people left. I got a crispy chicken taco that was good, topped with the green salsa. I also ordered the fish taco and that was ok. I wish it was crispy fish, it was just a white fish with breadcrumb. We tried the rice and beans and it was ok. The service and crispy chicken taco is definitely worth coming back for.

Lolita’s food is always fresh tasting. Their restaurants are always clean and the staff always friendly.
Their carnitas are very tasty. Their carne asada fries are some of the best around. Try their green salsa!
