I used to come here 30 years ago for the fresh crab sandwich. It was very good then. I just had the same a few days ago, and was very disappointed. You'd think for 25 bucks plus the juice, you'd get a decent sandwich. But the sourdough bread was stale, amount of crab a tad skimpy and some genius had changed the recipe to include an excess of relish. Killed that delicate crab flavor. Should have gone to Mitch's next door. The fries and coke were good.

Always fresh and tasty! We love going there when in town. It’s very casual but the view to the Marina is wonderful. Service at the counter is also good.

We’re from out of town, but a local friend told us we should try this place if we wanted good seafood. Well, he wasn’t wrong! Every one of us had a great meal. The crab cakes plate, fish plate, and shrimp plate were all really good. The ceviche was awesome and clam chowder bread bowl was excellent. The bonus was the great view of the bay and San Diego from the balcony. We will absolutely eat here again next time we’re in town and would recommend anyone who finds themselves in the San Diego area check this place out for a casual, but outstanding seafood meal!

Ordered at the same time as the rest of our family. A combo plate and a 2 piece chicken strips and fries. Stood there and waited while about 50 people that ordered after us were served. Manager was incredibly rude when we asked about our food. Everyone else was already finished, we were told It’s summer and chicken takes longer to cook. Yes I understand it was busy, but it doesn’t take almost an hour to cook two tiny chicken fingers. Food was cold and less than mediocre when it did finally come out. Would not recommend and will never go here again.

This is a hidden gem. It is a fresh seafood market which will also prepare any of this extensive selection for you to eat on site. The food is obviously prepared to order and is excellent! There is no table service. you order at the market counter. The dining room lacks ambiance and servers, but many tables overlook the harbor. Prices were quite reasonable as well.

Stopped in for some smoked fish to go and had a great experience. Was a little confusing at first since it was our first time there, however, we figured out to stand in line where the door comes in and then when someone becomes free behind the counter they will help you. Took a minute or two to realize people standing in a line on the left were waiting for food to go. Gentleman that helped us was great, answered our questions, and gave a small taste of some fish we had not tried before. Will definitely return.

The most beautiful fresh seafood counter I’ve seen if you want to buy seafood and take it home. We ordered cod and chips and drinks and they brought it to our table. The procedure is good. The tables are nice and not crowded together. The tables upstairs have a nice marina view. Upstairs is where it’s at. I’ve had better cod but this was very acceptable.

At Pt Loma Seafood, most of their fish were swimming last night. Best place in the harbor. Any of their swordfish dishes, the classic smoked fish sandwich, you can't go wrong!
