Just a great environment! The food is excellent... and of course the beer is too. The mushroom swiss burger I had was really good... the meat to bun ratio was perfect! I love going on Thursdays for open mic. It's a friendly crowd and Jefferson Jay hosts. I need to check out the comedy show on Wed. They Host more events but you should check out the website for the dets. But just easy going good times!

I love heading down to Long Story for a drink and a snack especially Wednesday wings! They always have wonderful staff on hand and take very good care of me and my friends. Highly recommend this place if you just need to stop by after work for some downtime.. they often have live music, trivia, and comedy too!

Mushroom Swiss burger was pretty good.
I love this place. The $1 Wings on Wednesday is unbeatable! They are plump and delicious too. Also the burger & fries is fantastic. The atmosphere is everything you want all from a bar. Just a bunch of fun people enjoying a game or Comedy Wednesdays. Dog friendly.
Classic spot that we love to go to. Live music every now and then
Finally decided to give this place another try after talking to one of the owners on a golf course. Bartender was very nice. While we only ate mozzarella sticks, they were delicious. I only rated atmosphere low because it was dead when we were there. I'll be back for sure!

Cozy neighborhood pub with great staff.
66% of the bartenders here are pretty awesome
We came here for lunch as a large party of 13. We had originally tried to go to another restaurant down the street but they couldnât accommodate our group.
Iâm glad we came here! First of all, great name! đ
Second of all, the staff and servers were all very kind and welcoming to us. The prices are very reasonable! The servings are very large. And most importantly, the food is very good. I ordered a small ceasar salad and it is very big. My friend ordered the large and we couldâve split it. Everyone liked their food. Some ordered the Philly steak sandwich, some ordered burgers. We all shared the French fries. There was plenty to go around.
Before leaving I asked the bartender if Iâd get a free drink since my last name is âStoryâ. He wouldâve given me one, but we were heading back to play tennis in the national championships. So he gave me a free T-shirt instead! How cool is that? Itâs very soft and I love wearing it.
Look I knowwww it was a busy ass day (St Patrickâs Day) so I have to have grace with everyone working yesterday. However, my experience has compelled me to write my first ever bad review !!
Iâve worked in the service industry so I know how stressful really busy nights can be. But last night I ordered food and about an hour later when it still wasnât out I politely inquired and was told âoh weâre out of foodâ like I should have somehow known? I remained really calm and friendly and asked that I just receive a refund (I had previously closed out) to which I was told hey weâre really busy we can give you a gift card or 10$ cash (I had spent more than that and received nothing). I just wanted a refund and I was treated like I was being completely unreasonable for just wanting a refund on something I didnât receive. When they finally voided my check I had the void receipt balled up and thrown at me which seemed really over the top and agro.
I understand busy nights, I understand things getting 86âd on busy nights, I donât understand why theyâd be so aggressive to somebody who was very calm and friendly towards them and asking for something that should have been offered.
The rudest bartender I have ever encountered. Some younger girl with a baseball cap on. She treated us like the plague. We waited almost 10 minutes sitting up at the bar to order our drink while we watched her tend to other patrons at the bar - many of which were walking up asking for drinks after we sat down. When she finally came up to us she told us "this place is for locals you know". I was born and raised in San Diego and lived in OB for the last 15 years. I don't need to explain that to anyone just to get service at a bar or restaurant. I told her to kick rocks and we left. Drop this attitude. OB should be a welcoming place for all of us weirdos - stop alienating people because you think they're from out of town. Won't be coming back until something else opens up here. Miss that diner...
