I've been wanting to try this location for a while and the anticipation was totally worth it.
The moment I walked in I was impressed with the beautiful and authentic decor. From the gold 6 ft wall hanging to the buda fountain to the hanging cherry blossom lights to the custom built roof canopy over the bar ... it was breathtaking.
Even the chairs were high quality - tall back and heavy with nice cushions.
I came in for lunch and the place was hop'in. It looks they get a good deal of convention attendees for lunch in addition to being local hot spot to all of the nearby high rise and luxury condos.
Of the items I saw there were way too many to choose from so I opted for the Lutus Platfer. A combination of spring rolls, guoza, satay chicken and gorgeous floral presentation of potato.
Everything was phenomenal and the visual presentation was off the charts.
this place is perfect for lunch, dinner, conferences or special occasions as you can reserve one side of the restaurant for a larger party.
I already have a second visit scheduled to capture the drunken noodles, dumplings, noodle dishes, impressive flaming chicken, beef specialties and for what is known to be their signature dish… The duck.
The portions are very generous so arrive hungry!
Wow, so glad I made it in. You know what they say… Good things come to those who wait! This one goes to the top of my list!

My favorite thai food spot in San Diego. The thai tea and mango sticky rice is so delicious.

Service was very friendly and they even accommodated for my dog who was slightly grumpy today. Great staff and great food, will definitely be coming back often!

We ordered take out and were not disappointed. The stir fry with chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Same for the spicy fried rice with beef. We will return.

Loved this place. The fried rice was refreshing with a bold flavor and the pad thai was limey and moist. It really hit the g (gastrointestinal) spot! Vegan options galore too!

I chose this restaurant mainly for the 15% hotel recommendations discount, and overall it was a good decision. The appetizers and food were excellent, but the happy hour drinks were a bit underwhelming. The one drawback was that the hotel discount only applies to the bill as a whole—the restaurant doesn’t allow individual discounts, even when dining as separate parties. If I knew this before we ordered, would have left and it’s worth noting. Overall, I’d give it a semi-recommend—great food, but be mindful of the discount policy.

A truly beautiful restaurant with some of the friendliest staff and service in downtown. Unfortunately, the food fell far below the standard I would expect. I ordered the drunken noodles, and the sauce tasted overwhelmingly like ketchup. The noodles were so overcooked that the dish resembled rice porridge more than noodles. The beef didn’t look pan-fried at all. The color and texture suggested it had been boiled and then tossed in the ketchup sauce. I’ve had drunken noodles many times at other restaurants, and this version was unlike any I’ve ever experienced.
Downtown is filled with incredible dining options at similar price points, and if this restaurant wants to stand out, the recipes (or perhaps the chef’s approach) really need improvement. The service and atmosphere are wonderful, but until the food matches that level, it’s hard to recommend.

Spring rolls were good. The pad thai had very little flavor. Every once in a while got a huge hit of lemon of lime juice. Not pleasant. Added chicken which had zero flavor. If I hadn't already been back to hotel I would have returned but I was too tired. Next time I'm here for work this will not be on my list of places to eat at again.

Food was tasty both times I’ve been. They have a separate vegan menu labeling what can and can’t be made vegan. Service is hit or miss. Once it was amazing and super attentive. The other we waited over 20 minutes for our check after we had clearly finished.

The decor is festive and great, the staff is pretty decent too but omg the food is below average for sure.
My Pad Sew noodles were overcooked to absolute mush. The meat for all the dishes we got was dryer than the Sahara and all the small bites were like something you can heat up from Costco.

I’ve lived in gaslamp for two years and have never visited this place, and I regret it. This place is amazing! The food, the service outstanding. The waitress, Andrea, was very attentive and met all of our needs and she was CRUSHING IT serving 7 tables at time. Absolute rock star. My wife and I will definitely be coming back here again.
