Absolutely love this place in downtown San Diego! From the rooftop ambiance to the menu selection, Lumi is a 10/10. I REALLY liked how they had a mocktail section - I ordered the “soft coffee” and it was delicious! For food, we ordered the yellowtail Serrano (waiter recommendation), 2x Pork Belly’s, and the albacore nigiri. Everything had amazing flavors and was cooked to perfection. I want to shoutout José for being a tentative waiter that provided great recommendations. We enjoyed everything!

One of our favorite spots to visit in Downtown San Diego. The service has always been prompt and the food doesn’t disappoint. It’s a great spot for a date night or going out with some friends. Bonus points for their accommodating, vegan options!

Sushi with rooftop vibes that scream San Diego chic. The rolls are fresh, the cocktails are Instagram-ready, and the views are as stunning as the bill. Pricey? Sure, but you’re paying for the ambiance and the bragging rights. Treat yourself—it’s worth it!

Excellent and interesting food. Lots of servers that were very attentive. It was nice being outside on the rooftop, but admittedly a little loud (to be expected for a Saturday night). I’d highly recommend this restaurant.

Lumi has a beautiful aesthetic, creating a really nice atmosphere for dining. One unique aspect we appreciated was their dedicated San Diego local menu, which gave us some great options to choose from. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. However, the service was a bit slower than we expected. Our sushi dishes took longer to come out, and as a result, we ended up staying for about two to three hours when we had hoped to be there for no more than two hours. Still, the quality of the food and the ambiance made it an enjoyable visit.

Lumi is a great spot with a standout dish—the sushi pizza and sashimi! I could honestly eat an infinite amount of it; it’s that good. The drinks were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The location is lovely, with a nice ambiance, and they have heaters to keep things comfortable when it’s chilly outside.

the food is fine and would be great if they slashed their prices in half. they think they are nobu but they are not <3 but their prices are delusional for the food served
Dining experiences are 99% company and the rest is, the rest. Celebrating our 30th anniversary month, we looked for rooftop dining and found Lumi. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like long time guests even though this was our first visit. The drinks were outstanding. We both had “The Mule”, an intriguing riff on an old fashioned, expertly crafted by Stacy, the lively bartender. Our server, Toma, made excellent suggestions and we enjoyed each dish. We went with signature dishes, per his guidance. We would definitely recommend dining here and let the team guide you through your selections.
Danielle was an amazing bartender. And Darby has the best customer service. Great food and the cocktails were amazing. Highly recommend this place for a nice out.
