First I would just like to say the servers were the sweetest and the location and ambience was perfect. I had really high hopes for the food which we both found to be at or below average. The sea bass sandwich we were the most excited about and it was unfortunately barely edible. The crust was too thick, oily and no flavor and the fish inside was overcooked. The orange mouse cake however was delicious!!
This brunch was very disappointing when it came to the variety of food and availability of items as stated on the menu as well as on the website for a champagne brunch. For $65, there was hardly any seafood, sushi, and assortment of what was listed on the menu. Tuna seemed to be the only available sushi both Nigri and sashimi. 45 minutes into the brunch, salmon nigiri was available. The stations were not replenished as expected for any brunch. My friend requested tongs to avoid cross contamination between shellfish and sushi. Overall there seemed to be a lack of attention to the buffet items available to guests in a timely manner. The presentation of the food as well as the quality of food was not up to standard for $65 per person. The saving grace for this brunch was the atmosphere, and our server who was amazing, Adriana. Unfortunately I will not be going back to a once popular spot, I used to frequent being a San Diego native. What was even more disappointing was I brought my friend who drove down all the way from Los Angeles with expectations this brunch would meet her ideal brunch experience.

Love San Diego restaurant week at Oceana . Very creative menu - so good ! Loved the location - the patio was warm even on a cool spring night Very memorable dessert Everything we tried was excellent - from the California roll, spareribs with macadamia nuts , swordfish and pineapple spear ❤️

Love this restaurant. Service was slow, we thought they forgot about us. I mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday, I think they forgot that too. No dessert or any mention. Usually awesome and one of my favs.

I really didn't like the background music - I'm sure it destroys your brain cells - mind-numbing. But the food, service, ambience, and value were really great. We had a really good meal.

First time visiting. We sat outside on a cool evening. Not all the heaters were working despite an attempt to reset them so it was a little cool. The caesar salad was ok. The artichoke flat bread was very, very good. The scallops and the salmon were excellent! The rum bread pudding was delicious. The wine list is limited. Did get to try for the first time the new non-alcoholic beer - Athletic. After dinner we went outside to the water - lovely setting.
Food service was slow and was just OK which is sad for the price. Menu was limited. Tried the bread, sushi and crab pasta. Sushi was loose rolled and tasted kind of plain. Crab tasted fishy and not sweet. Nice location but not worth a return visit.

My wife ordered the Crispy Salmon - medium rare. It came out medium well done. We ordered the bread pudding desert. Portions of it were burnt! Both were taken off our bill. Our server would drop off our salads and then would disappear and we would have to chase down another server for salt and pepper. Same when our dinners arrived. She did not come to see if everything was prepared properly. It was only when she came to clear our plates that we complained about the fish being over cooked. We were never offered coffee or tea at the end of our meal to go with our desert. Don't see us coming back anytime soon.

Went to dinnner alone and sat outside in the heated outside area. The ambiance was delightful with a single singer entertainer who was very good. The scallop dish was VERY good and I highly recommend.

The food was good, with fresh seafood. Beautiful place. being what we went for. The service was great and the drinks tasty and original.
Everything was amazing. I would have voted the ambience as outstanding if it hadn't been for the music. Whoever was doing the live entertainment is a great musician, but his voice is terrible. He was off tune and the tone was not to my liking. It made me want to hurry up and leave so I wouldn't have to hear it anymore.

Adry take care of us and she have an excellent customer service! She keep our endless mimosas really bottomless and checked on us regularly with attention to details, food is amazing and we had a great time! At the buffet bar, they even offer to prepare a special roll for food intolerance, and it was delicious. Definitely we will continue to come back and it’s highly recommended!

Our server Lily was not only exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu, but extremely patient and understanding. She helped us pick the best dishes which fit us (crab fettuccine). If I could pick any server again, it would be her. Thank you so much.
