I USED TO LOVE THIS PLACE AND RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO IT ALL THE TIME. BUT THEY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER SUM FIERCE.Unfortunately they have upped their prices to the point that it's simply not worth it (and that's to say the least). On top of that they stopped providing a small Dixie cup for water. ..Even though it's California state law that restaurants must provide free drinking water to paying customers. At one point they stopped letting people use the restroom and said it was "for employees only". But apparently it's ok to let customers use the restroom again (same employee)?? ...This place flip flops more than a fish out of water and I'm most definitely done with em. ..Chicken sandwiches aren't exotic.There are plenty of other chicken sandwich places in the city that don't play these weird games.**when picking up Uber eats deliveries they would make you go through extensive procedures before being able to leave with the food. ..for example: making you go to a website to register your name and phone number and then verifying with the 16-year-old cashier that you completed said procedures. They don't make you do that anymore either. Smh lbs.

1st time here, Food over priced and combo don't include drink!!! Chicken sandwich was good try the medium spice so I decided to order a Cole slaw and when start eating it found out it was soggy and not fresh at all, order to go I was long gone to comeback and return the

This place is cramped! They do not have enough seating. Maybe that's to make them look more popular than they are. The atmosphere takes a hit because of that. I wanted to dine in and had to wait to eat because people were sitting for their to-go orders. Service, while slow, can be partly understandable. I like places that cook to order.The food was a mixed bag. The spices (I went with medium heat) were bland. They had a THICK skin on the meat. It didn't taste good. It was just some bland flavor. The chicken itself was perfect. Whatever brine they use is perfect. You can taste it. I ended up peeling off the skin and just ate the chicken. Fries were mediocre.This place isn't worth your time. I wish I could get a refund.

Been trying a bunch of the hot chicken places in SD and this still ranks the highest. Favorite combo is #6 which is two dark meat sandwiches and fries , and I'll add Mac and cheese and a soda. You can also ask if you can sub in one white meat sandwich if you want to try both. I would highly suggest getting extra sauce as I use one to two per sandwich.Parking: The location shares its parking with a transit station, so parking here is a toss up.

The chicken is legit hot as in spicy. I forget what level I got but it was adequately spicy. Cole slaw was really good too. I'm a newish spicy convert so when something says spicy I wanna feel it. Gotta try this vs Side Chick at the same time one

My favorite hot chicken place in all of SD. Nobody else comes close. What more is there to say? Yeah, sure, it's expensive. You get what you pay for. :)
Literally the best hot chicken in San Diego.This is my go to place for hot chicken and it never misses.People are always nice and service is usually quick! It's a lot of food for the price and 9/10 times I have left overs.Fries are well seasoned and the chicken is coated very well. Sometimes they forget to not add pickles on my order but it's not the end of the word.I do wish they had an easier way to give ketchup instead of packets be l use a lotIf you love hot chicken and haven't been - do yourself a favor and go!!

Combos don’t come with a drink which is weird. Prices are decent. Food is insane though. Fries are airy, crispy and seasoned well. Chicken was perfectly spicy and crunchy. Would come again

Food is fantastic! Dark meat chicken sandwich is the bomb but no place to wash hands because owner closed restroom to public. Sign said closed due to tagging and vandalism. Terrible but that’s part of doing business in California. Owner should reconsider this policy. Lumping all customers as potential vandals is dumb and creates an us against them atmosphere.

This joint is in my hood and I've been here several times but somehow never reviewed...I always get the chicken sandwich combo.. sandwich, fries, and a tender... all perfectly crispy, and the toppings on the sandwich are perfect! Portions are big, so my bride and I can split it easily!I always get mild because it's an exponential scale...Ambiance is strip mall kitchen, service is at the counter, and prices are as expected... this joint makes the list!

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! Me and my 2 friends went to eat here on Nov 28th to grab food on our lunch break and we all got food poisoning from here! I was throwing up within 45 minutes, had to leave my job early and couldn't stop throwing up and having diarrhea until literally today. My friends started throwing up within 2 hours as well and felt better till today Nov 30th. They obviously aren't following food safety protocols because this isn't normal. Save yourselves and go to Dave's Hot Chicken better because I've never had a problem with them.
