I love having lunch at Makia Sushi in San Diego. Chef Matt and his team always make me feel at home. The food is incredibly fresh, straight from the docks the same day. I highly recommend checking them out—and be sure to mention the Senator sent you!
Staff was very friendly and there is a nice amount of seating. But personally, I felt the pieces of sushi were strangely large, it reminded me of my first attempt at homemade sushi. The ingredients were quality but overall the taste wasn't memorable to me.
