? AWESOME EGG FOO YOUNG!?
I ordered Chicken Egg Foo Young .
A very hard to find dish here in San Diego. I was not disappointed.
The staff were very polite very helpful . Kenny was friendly and conversational and went out of his way . I hope watched others come in and they received excellent service. Each offered cold ice water while they waited. Great communication. Exceptional courtesy.

Everyone here was such a delight! Our food was excellent and generous portions. The snowpeas in my lo mein especially had such a nice snap to them. Highly recommend.

We’ve been going here for years & love this place. The food is always fresh and quality is always perfect!! It’s also a nice place to take out of town guest. Try it if you haven’t. Over the years, it’s been a popular place and no one I know has been disappointed! ☺️

The Mandarin wok is a good little mom and pop Chinese restaurant. We ordered the pu pu platter appetizer, Jasmine tea, shrimp in lobster sauce and cashew chicken. Each entree came with 1 egg roll, steamed or fried rice and hot and sour soup or egg drop soup. Everything was tasty and seemed to be made fresh but not over the top with delicious flavor - just average. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. The decor seems traditional. The restaurant was clean. One thing that was different, the tables have plastic white tables clothes which are then cover with a glass table topper. I'm used to a cloth table cover, but its probably more economical to do plastic. The restaurant is in a little strip mall, we went for lunch on a Friday and it didn't get very busy. I could see that if they did get busy parking would be an issue because the strip mall is small. Some customers came to order to-go. Our total was less than $40 before tip.

Our family has been a tried-and-true Mandarin House La Jolla customer for many years. I had heard good things about Mandarin Wok and with prices these days, Mandarin Wok is a good 25% cheaper. Well, you get what you pay for. The pork in all of the dishes was so overcooked it was difficult to chew and swallow and could not be eaten. Some dishes were fine like the Egg Foo Young and Lemon Pepper Chicken, but overall, not worth saving the 25% because the leftovers went into the trash. Lesson learned!
Parking: Lots of parking available.

The most bland and worse Chinese food I’ve ever had. The orange chicken tasted like ketchup and the lo mein just tasted like soy sauce.
