This is one of my favorite ramen spots in San Diego. I keep coming back because of their consistency, delicious ramen and I am addicted to their spicy wings!!!

I'm Japanese and recommend this place. I also rarely take time and review things. I ordered Tonkotsu to go. Broth was warm enough to eat after around 20 mins. Noodles were little stiff, and stuck together but can't help. Really impressed by the quality of noodles. I mean you don't even have to go to jp to experience authentic jp noodles anymore nowadays.

Came here last night (04/27/24) for dinner. The inside space is much bigger than I initially thought. We were a table of 4, they seated us almost immediately -- at the bar. The counter top was a beautiful white and very wide (width). Directly underneath the counter top are hooks so you can hang your purse. The music is booming in here + conversation. Service was quick and for the most part they were nice! I ordered the MIKAN to drink, it said it was sparkling juice with freshly squeezed mandarin and sugar cane juice. It wasn't very sweet-- I'm not sure where the sugar cane comes from in the drink haha. It had an undertone that reminded me of cherry tomatoes. Overall it was a great refresher compared to the ramen broth. For appetizer we went with the takoyaki balls and the chicken karaage. The takoyaki was nicely dressed and piping hot. I didn't taste the octopus in mine, mainly the batter. I feel like it could be a miss for texture sensitive people. I surprisingly liked the green onion in the batter! The chicken karaage was massive but so juicy and succulent. I wish they gave us more Japanese Mayo because the portions were big! Also whoever cut that lemon slice was wild because it was so thin you couldn't squeeze it. You had to brush it against your chicken like a paintbrush. The main dishes (ramen) came out pretty fast so we couldn't enjoy our appetizers as much. I ordered the spicy tan tan men and I thought it was going to be spicy...since it's clearly in the name. It was no spice to mild at best. The main flavors I could taste were possibly sesame or some sort of nutty salty notes. The presentation wasn't as nice as my moms. All the ground chicken was at the bottom along with the beansprouts. I asked for the removal of green onions and spring mix (because spring mix is the worst). They came through with that and I asked for add ins of sweet corn and more beansprouts. They had those in little bowls where I could add them in myself. They sadly forgot to give my cousin and I the soft boiled egg in our ramen. But once mentioned, they brought it right away. I wouldn't say it's a seasoned soft boiled egg like they mentioned in the menu. I liked the ramen noodles they weren't overly soft and had a great bounce and chew to them. Overtime my broth became salty, so I'm glad I had the sweet corn to balance it out. The bowls looked small and funky (oddly shaped), but they do hold a lot! I think one bowl could be shared between two people. My mom and grandma thought it was too salty. They liked the chicken karaage. My cousin liked her ramen and when the soft boiled egg arrived she enjoyed it even more. It was a light broth. Overall, it's a nice place with in the Sky Deck at Del Mar Highlands. It's something different and warming. The broths are rich and chicken is delicious. Be sure to clarify the spice level even if spicy is in the name! (3-4stars).

This place has been my favorite ramen spot so far! I always get the Hakata Tonkotsu. Broth is absolutely tasty. Just the right balance of creamy and salty. The chashu is also very flavorful. I have yet to eat a chashu here that tastes old/"porky" (if you know what I mean) which is what I struggle with at most ramen spots. The noodles are very thin (which I personally love) & taste very fresh. Natalia was our server today and she was wonderful! We literally got our food 3 minutes after we had ordered and it was perfect. Location is pretty convenient as there are yummy dessert spots in the same plaza to enjoy right after dinner. Parking lot does get pretty packed, but there are quite a lot of parking spots. Definitely recommend!

It was good! It's not greasy like other ramen shops in San Diego. I love it. Good location, excellent service.

The Hakata Tonkotsu with thick noodles is my absolute favorite! Ling provided amazing service even when I walked in 20 minutes before closing! The whole staff was happy to help and worked great together as a team. Nobody was disappointed that I came in towards their closing time which is rare to see these days. My favorite ramen spot!

Our server, Ling, was so kind. Every staff we interacted with was so lovely and polite as well as attentive and checked on us frequently without being too pushy. The food was absolutely delicious (& prompt) & the ambience was so wonderful! 10/10 would recommend to a friend & will be coming back! Cheers!

Stopped here on a whim when the place across from them was out of oysters. But I enjoyed all the Ramen and Saki we sampled. Everything was tasty and the portions were pretty decent as we ended up taking some food home. I got the Chicken Paitan, Marufuku Bites, Chicken Karaage (this one seemed to be in high demand.) We also sampled several types of Saki. Everyting was excelent and we had fun sampling the Aski. The service was very good, and our waitress explained the options well. The resturante is located in a food court like area, but section off into it's own private area. Hopefully you will find our pictures useful.

My first time here and my family had a great experience! Ambiance/Service: It's located in the Sky Deck building towards the back. Our party of 8 got seated right away at around 4:30pm on a Thursday. There are several 4-6 person tables/booths and a few 8-person tables, great for large groups! Our server was fast and efficient, I wish got her name! Food came out very quickly. Food: We were within the happy hour period so we got some appetizers off of that menu. For each happy hour food item, you have to order a drink with it. *7pc Gyoza ($6 HH): Pan seared and was a little soupy in the inside which I really liked! *Chicken Karaage ($6 HH): Fried and super crunchy. *Spicy TanTan Men ($18.50) + 3pc Seaweed add-on ($1.25): I love spicy food and I ordered ultra spicy. Definitely had some heat and it was very flavorful! Served with ground chicken. Other items ordered: *Hakata Tonkotsu ($20.95)-served with Chashu Pork and *Chicken Paitan ($18). Overall: I'm very impressed with this place! I'd definitely come back here for their happy hour items, the Spicy TanTan Men, and the excellent service!

Ling is by far a 5 star server. We came as a family of 4 on a busy Friday night and were seated within 15 minutes. Long made us feel like the only customers that night. Ramen: amazing. So flavorful and the chateau pork was perfect Gyoza: perfectly pan seared and delicious. This is our new favorite ramen spot

First time checking this place out, Service was phenomenal! Our server Ling was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the entire experience, she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and invited. The Tonkatsu ramen was good, I would say one of the better options I've tried in San Diego. Great portions and good flavor/quality of the broth. Only downside of this place is that the famous ramen eggs are literally just soft-boiled eggs, not the traditional "Ajitsuke Tamago" marinated ramen eggs. Overall, not a bad choice by any means!
