Delicious 😇
grabbed take out brocolli w/chicken which is a basic simple dish. Service was quick but the food was mediocre at best. It was also expensive for the small portion lunch size. would not recommend.

The food here is definitely not cooked by a proper chef. The meat is not fresh and tastes terrible. I had acid reflux and a fever after eating it and was sick for three days.

Highly recommend thick sesame bread.
Their thick sesame green onion bread was unbeatable. Sometimes we dine in but sometimes we just order a bread and go. My in-laws are from Northern China where people are well-known for making flour dishes, but still, even they said the bread from Ma’s House was something else that won’t be easy to copy in a home kitchen daily basis. So, if you are a salty bread aka “bing” person, you gotta try their thick sesame green onion bread. Lord, air fryer will easily refresh it so don’t worry if you can’t finish it all at once. Sometimes it’s short staffed but everyone’s trying their best. Appreciate the efforts. Praise Ma’s house!!
Only reason we tried it is because it’s halal. Also many people recommended it.
Food was decent, nothing to rave about, great to try as a tourist. We had the beef short ribs which were great, a tad luke warm but definitely delicious. The Kung pow chicken, beef chow mein, and beef fried rice were all ok.
The customer service definitely needs improvement but overall well worth the visit to try halal Chinese food
Got the Whole Crispy Duck and the Moo Shu Lamb entrees. The duck was ok. It had a fair amount of meat. However, it was not seasoned and flavorless before dipping in the hoisin sauce. We would not order it again. The Moo Shu Lamb was delicious. It had a fair amount of juicy, tender, lean lamb. We will definitely order it again. Update: Got the lunch specials; Fish with Spicy Black Bean Sauce, Fish with Spinach, and the Kung Pao Scallops. Everything was very delicious, however the number of scallops was less than expected.

They were short staffed and gave us 10% off without us asking so I’d hate to reduce stars for that reason. The food was amazing. Best halal Chinese I’ve had in the US. So flavorful! Can’t wait to come back

Just wow experience!
I try to locate the authentic chinese halal places across the US and this was a hit.
The location sign is dimly lit and hard to find but once you enter the restaurant they welcome you with a smile. Great Hospitality, helped me out with menu options. Here is the item specific feedback
Pan Fried Dumplings were great. Goes well with the soy sauce
Triple fried curry rice - More on the spicy side and I really liked it
Jalapeno Sliced Chicken - The sauces in this was amazing. Highly recommended
Noodle Soup - First time trying noodle soup and the broth was awesome
Garlic Chicken with Jalapenos - Fried variation of the sliced chicken. Again Awesome. The sauce is spicy and tangy

Ma’s House is a must-visit for halal Chinese food lovers! I was visiting from Seattle, where we desperately need a spot like this, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. Standouts included the orange chicken, beef chow mein, and salt & pepper fish—each bursting with authentic flavor and cooked to perfection.
The restaurant has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, and there’s even a prayer room on-site, which is such a thoughtful touch for Muslim diners. The staff was attentive and friendly, and portions were generous, making it great value for the quality and taste.
If you’re in California and craving halal Chinese food, don’t miss out on Ma’s House. Highly recommend!
