We had the BEST time at our pasta making class for my birthday! I brought four kids ranging from ages 4 to 17, and somehow every single one of them loved it just the same. Chef Francesco was great. He was so gracious, patient, and genuinely joyful in the way he taught us. He made all of us, from the littlest hands to the teenagers, feel confident, motivated, and capable.
We were all completely into the process, and the time flew by so fast. The pasta turned out delicious, and the whole experience felt special, hands‑on, and so much fun. It was the perfect birthday activity and such a memorable way to spend the day together. Highly recommendj. five stars all the way! 🍝 Mille grazie!
Cute place, great people and fun experience! We had a great date night here. Would absolutely recommend!
Just took the pasta class tonight & everything was, I’m going to use the word passable, until the pasta was actually cooked & served. Utter disappointment.
Then back tracking to what went wrong & reading all the other 1 star reviews, I can see how the establishment made an effort to improve but ultimately I don’t believe the underlining values are to make sure guests are having a clean, hospitable, educational, & flavorful experience.
I really appreciate the effort but it was not ok that even though my date & I brought up concerns that our dough was too thick before we started shaping the pasta that we were dismissed. The final product was extremely thick and chewy. My date ordered the carbonara sauce, (the establishment makes it for you) the texture was grainy & mainly tasted like flour.
The last time my partner & I made pasta on our own it did not go well so to pay an establishment to teach us the proper way and walk away without a difference speaks of the care, quality, & ability to follow through with their services.
Our instructor made an effort to connect with each table but I believe he was just stretched out too thin. I work in the service industry and can empathize being the only one teaching at least 7 groups at a time & how exhausting it might be especially if it’s multiple classes in a row. There was one busser & one server. I see their hard work but they really expect your patience through your time there instead of employing enough staff.
Like another reviewer said, bring someone who can roll with the punches but unless you know how pasta should be made then you’re on your own. Bathrooms were clean but the door handle was borderline unhinged. I’m really not one to be picky but just updating from what the other reviews expressed. Drinking glasses weren’t the cleanest & looking back the turnover is so quick it would make sense they just don’t have time.
Did not love this experience tbh!!! Insanely overpriced for a cooking class where you only make pasta dough from scratch! You don’t make the sauce for it or anything else. Additionally, the guy “helping” us was rude and condescending. Might be a cultural difference in communication styles but I did not love asking questions and being made to feel like an idiot that should have never graced his presence or taken up his oxygen to begin with. It honestly felt like he hated us for no reason before we even said a word to him? It was weird vibes and way too overpriced for the experience we received. I have worked in the service industry for years and am always over kind to anyone else in the service industry because I know how awful guests can be…this dude was not having ANY of my kindness or jokes when I tried to ease the tension he brought. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Was trying to spend a lil more to get a nice chill experience for date night but will go for a Groupon for somewhere else next time! I was lucky to have an incredible date that could make any place heaven on earth but this place was buns!!!!!!!!
Was very excited for this but the execution was not great. The host didn’t seem like she knew what was going on when explaining what we were supposed to do. The chef didn’t introduce himself or give very much guidance. There was a lot of waiting. A lot. They went group to group but you would have to wait until he got all the way to your group so we just stood there watching other groups. Was fun to do but had way bigger expectations than what happened.
Fun and memorable experience. Chefs Kiss!
My girlfriend gave me a gift card to do this pasta class. It was definitely a fun experience. Only thing that could have made it better was a nicer looking environment. Decor was lacking.
We signed up for a couples cooking class to celebrate my husband's birthday while visiting San Diego and took an Uber across town but when we got there the restaurant was disgustingly dirty. It was 5pm and just opening so no excuse expect not cleaning from prior days. There was food and flour and the floor the kitchen which can be viewed from seating area was disorganized and and dirty. When I used the bathroom prior to the class starting that was the last straw. It looked liked hadn't been cleaned in weeks! There was paper towels on the ground, sink had soap scum all-around it and the toilet had what looked like diarrhea around it and the walls were dirty and looked like vomit on it around and behind the toilet. It literally made me and my husband ill and there was no way we were going to make and eat food in these disgusting conditions. I told them my husband felt ill and we left. The owner said they would reimburse us via email which didn't do and finally resolved dispute through credit card.
This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the waiter/owner/cook (all the same person) greeted us with attitude and an overwhelmingly unwelcoming demeanor. He spoke to us as if serving us was some kind of favor, and that same disrespect carried into the so-called pasta “class.”
You’re essentially given an egg and a lump of dough to entertain yourself with. He only offers two sauces, none of which are listed anywhere beforehand. When I asked for a carbonara sauce, he refused multiple times rudely, insisting it “takes too long” and even telling me I would be served last if I asked again. And he made sure I was.
The whole thing felt like a complete rip-off. Terrible service, terrible attitude, terrible vibes. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I would absolutely never give this business another dollar.
Went here for my 36th birthday with a party of 12, ranging from 11years old to 66years old and we ALL enjoyed it! It’s easy, it’s fun, and it’s rewarding. The instructor is hands on but not in your face, it allows time for bonding and space with your party. This is actually my 2nd time attending, the first time I came for someone else’s bday celebration a few years ago. I would and probably will come back again :)

Night cooking class is an amazing experience. We all loved it so much!
It was a great experience for the bread baking class. Would like for us to try one of his other classes. I would recommend to friends and family
I am going to start by saying this relates to the reception and how it was handled. We arrived around 7 on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was active but had several empty tables. After waiting for several minutes with no one at the reception area, where someone was flagged from the chef conducting the cooking class, we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not. She proceeded to explain that there was a cooking class that required reservations. We said that we didn't realize that the restaurant was reserved for the cooking class. She said that it was not, but they had reservations for dinner. Meanwhile, we are looking at empty tables at least 1.5 hours before closing. Then she said that she could go talk to the manager. We politely declined - with all due respect, this type of cluelessness and horrible customer service doesn't deserve our money. Please do better - we live in the neighborhood and have eaten there before, the food was excellent. Have front of the house team members that are present and attentive and provide good service and logical explanations.
I had reservations for my daughter's birthday yesterday and we arrived to a closed restaurant. So disappointing that we were not notified to be able to make alternative plans. We were left looking for another restaurant in the area that had availability. I had such a great experience during the cooking class the week prior I wanted my family to taste the cuisine. Very unfortunate.
The class was fun and the instructors helpful
