I am not one to post “check ins” at McDonalds but this Del Mar Heights, San Diego, McDonalds blew my mind. They are having a remodel grand opening and the owner greeted me out front on red carpet. She thanked me for coming. The employees were knowledgable and had great communication skills. I asked for an “ice coffee” and they even asked me what type: vanilla, vanilla sugar free…..without me prompting. They even asked if I wanted ketchup. It was like I was in another...read full review

McDonald's has a new staff and manager who are super nice. The two-lane drive-through is convenient, making ordering quick and easy. The staff is great and works hard to handle orders efficiently, even helping foreign visitors. Many customers appreciate the friendly service and the effort the team puts into caring for their guests. While some people miss the old design and unique features like the gelato, the restaurant still provides fast service and fresh fries with every order. However, the restaurant can sometimes smell like a porta-potty when you walk in. Despite this, many enjoy their meals, including the McGold Card. The atmosphere is more relaxed now, not trying too hard, which many find pleasant.
