Food was great and prices were decent! The restaurant itself felt kinda grimy and dirty.

Best all around Mediterranean place. Good cost, good food, and friendly staff. Mr. Fred does not disappoint!
When I was deployed and my wife had our first child, he delivered food (plus extra) and held the baby so my wife could eat. I wouldn't expect this on a regular (he's a busy man) but he takes care of people and is a good person.
Dietary restrictions: Tzatziki sauce is not cucumber heavy. My wife is mildly allergic and she can eat plenty.

I recently had Mediterranean Cafe cater for my sister’s baby shower and it was a hit with all the guests. The owner is very friendly and provided a lot of food. The chicken kebab was the star of the show. Very juicy and charred to perfection.

The food in general is very good. We ordered the plate for 2 which includes everything. The lamb was my favorite.
They are authentic flavors. The portions are of good size. Good prices, too.
Very friendly staff.
Also, we were lucky that there was a traditional dance show.

My absolute favorite place to stop for lunch in Hillcrest. All the food is SO good, the prices are reasonable, the staff are super friendly and recognize you when you come back.

We have eaten here repeatedly over the past 5 years.
The good is great and the prices and service good.
Gyros and salmon salad or plate are excellent.
The Greek MYTHOS Beer is well worth a try.

Super rude and racist staff at the front desk.
She made remarks on our origin and living style. Never going back or recommending to anyone!
The restaurant was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon lunch when we walked in. We thought to give it a try. The falafel pita wrap was tasteless and lacked sauce, taste and basically super dry.
Our kids spilled some rice on the floor. She came to us and said “Oh, people from San Jose are like this! We Mexicans are very clean.” We replied that a little mess with kids is pretty normal anywhere (bcz it was just some rice!)
She said “I have two kids and two grand kids and they never made mess. I just wanted to know where you guys are from so that I know!!”
I don’t think she belongs in the customer facing or table serving/cleaning role. Saying this to anyone is very hurtful and only describes what who you really are!

Worst Mediterranean food I've had, I think. Falafel wasn't good. The pizza my young son ordered wasn't good. Lemon chicken soup wasn't good. Hummus was meh. Pita was fine, I guess.

We tried to come here today for a healthy Mother's Day dinner. It was around 5 or 6 and the Google restaurant times said it was open. We called and there was no message or greeting. We were close by so we went over and it was closed. It would be great to have accurate times on the website and/or a note on the door. I hope everything is ok.

Terrible. Chicken kebab was dry, lemon chicken was dry, steak kebab was dry. Everything was bland. Rice with dill was bland. Salad was basic. Just terrible. I was going for a nice dinner for my mother and grandmother and it was awful.

I ordered a combo platter from this place from a third party app called "Slice. I was highly disappointed.I have never been to this restaurant but I love Greek food. Since I spent over $32 total, I was expecting a nice meal. Instead, the beef kabob was overcooked, the Giro was just the meat on a soggy piece of pita. no veggies at all. The salad was wilted iceberg lettuce, a slice of tomato, a very small amount of feta and one olive... The fries were soggy and limp. The portions were a joke. I called Slice to complain and they refunded 25% of the the $32 I spent which was not satisfactory. This was definitely not a good experience for me.
I have eaten at Mediterranean Cafe 20 times over the last 3-4 years. Up until recently it has been one of my favorite spots I enjoy taking friends or even dates to. This last year something has changed! A few nights ago after indulging in a dinner for two I experienced the worst FOOD POISONING I have ever experienced. (I was a prior US Marine and have had food poisoning on multiple occasions) but this was on another level. SO bad I had to go to the hospital, it has now been 4 days later and I am finally able to leave my bed. Never again with Mediterranean Cafe. DISGUSTING

Very nice place. Exceptional service. The delicious fresh food, my husband is Arab and it is one of his favorite restaurants. We go on Sundays, it's not crowded in the afternoons so it's noisy, the place is very quiet. Very friendly employees and very tasty desserts. ?
