The food is exceptional but the real gem behind this place was their manager, Seth.

So disappointing, despite clear instructions via the app and on the printed receipt, sandwich was toasted. This has happened multiple times. Food is high quality but overshadowed by careless preparation

First time here. Sandwiches and potato salad were both very flavorful. Friendly staff, clean, and efficient. Not crazy expensive. $37 for two people is considered cheap these days.

Mendocino Farms in Mission Valley is a delightful spot for anyone who appreciates fresh, flavorful food with a creative twist. Their menu offers an impressive variety, but I’m particularly drawn to their salads and soups. The ingredients are always fresh, and the combinations are thoughtfully crafted to pack in vibrant flavors. Their soups are the perfect complement, warm and comforting with a homemade touch that makes you want to savor every bite.
One of the standout features of this location is their selection of fresh juices. They’re not only delicious but also a great alternative to sugary drinks, making the meal feel even more wholesome. However, a recurring issue I’ve noticed is that the juice dispensers often run out and don’t get replenished promptly. It can be disappointing when you’re looking forward to pairing your meal with one of their refreshing beverages, only to find it unavailable.
Despite that small hiccup, Mendocino Farms consistently delivers an excellent dining experience. The staff is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is inviting, and the quality of the food makes it a reliable choice for a quick lunch or casual dinner. If you’re in Mission Valley, this spot is definitely worth a visit—just cross your fingers that your favorite juice is stocked!

This place always has great sandwiches, but today I tried their “November to Remember” and oh em gee, absolutely delicious!! I would highly recommend trying this sandwich before it’s gone, as it’s only on the menu temporarily. I’m also thrilled they brought back the dill potato salad, it’s so yummy!
The restaurant itself is very clean and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There is nice decor and the staff is friendly. My only recommendation is to order ahead, unless you have time to wait. This place is always packed at lunch.

The BEST sandwich I have had in a long, long time. The bread was divine, meat was tasty, pesto sauce was amazing, mozzarella was soft and delicious, I wish I had one of these closer to home.

Food is good, but order pickup process needs work. I showed up 10 mins after my pick up time, but no food at the pickup shelf. I waited another 10 mins and then went to the counter and the girl mumbled a name that sounded like mine. I said yes and said my name. I Left in frustration and didn’t check the bag. Turns out I had someone else’s order and didn’t figure out until I got home. Called and spoke with manger on duty. He was very polite and was able to credit my order. I asked why they don’t use the pickup shelf anymore, and that’s because of theft. I suggested that the front counter personnel let customers know so we don’t wait looking at shelf. And thinking more, a sign at pickup shelf would be good. And maybe use orders numbers instead of names. I’ve seen the name thing have issues with other restaurants. I know, it’s a personal touch. Maybe have the counter person ask your name instead of saying something that might be close. Lastly, it was dead in there, not busy. One other customer waiting.
Kid-friendliness: Cool chalk board my kids like to use.
