The owner was so nice & personable. She went through the menu with us and gave us recommendations. She seen how many kids we had and even threw in free drinks! She has a “mom” vibe and is so attentive. The restaurant is small but the food is BIG & GOOD! The food is definitely “Tex mex” with a cali twist.
Kid-friendliness: They welcome kids and LISTEN to them. They treated my kids like friends/family.

Rolled tacos with guacamole were delicious and hit the spot! Owner was kind and welcoming and as soon as I mentioned I was in a hurry he made sure to speed things up for me! Highly recommend this spot!!

You guys are amazing, the vibe of this restaurant and the staff are simply wonderful! I really loved having visited this place and I definitely recommend you go, besides eating well you will leave there with a smile on your face and your heart warm with so much joy!

We had a lovely dining experience here today for lunch. The food was delicious and authentic. Fish taco tasted very fresh (we were informed the fish was caught this morning) and the carnitas taco was juicy and yummy. My guy, who is Mexican and is picky about his Mexican food, lol, had the asada torta which he said was very good. Everything had lots of flavor! Love the variety of housemade salsas to choose from. We really like that the place is no-frills, no reservations and is clean. What topped it off was the service from the owner, Maurice. Very personable, warm and inviting. He even brought us sopapillas on the house at the end of our meal! A kind and unexpected gesture, for sure. Prices were decent and food was plentiful but not overwhelmingly so. Being newer to the area, we’re so glad we found this place! We’ll be back for sure!

Best stand up to order (SUTO) Mexican food restaurant I've been to. The chili relleno was cooked perfectly with the pepper tasting fresh, bright, and just slightly crisp. Covered in a dark, rich sauce that was tasty and multilayered. Was it stuffed with maybe too much cheese? Let's say instead that the abundance of delicious cheese offered this well-satisfied customer the option of accompanying each hearty bite with exactly the desired proportion. This hidden gem was spotlessly clean, the chips were plentiful and the salsas delicious and complex. After ordering I bypassed the indoor and sidewalk seating, choosing instead to sit in a cozy little patio off to the side. The food was delivered to my table and looked spectacular, like it was the product of a much larger kitchen. The plastic flatware was disappointing but forgiveable. The portions were generous and I left a bit more full than is comfortable, but completely satisfied with mind made up to return soon to sample one of their many other menu choices. Made my day.

The food here was absolutely amazing. We had the lobster enchiladas and the sauce was mind-blowingly good. We also had the fish bowl which was excellent. The owner gave my kid rice and beans and brought us a treat at the end. You won't be disappointed if you stop here.

AMAZING place! Not only was the food delicious, but the waitress/waiters were beyond fabulous (especially Wendy)! My friends and I felt so welcomed, which was nice since we were coming from out of town. Cannot think of a better way to start our trip out!

Been to this spot many times and each time I go the food is on point. The seafood is fresh and prepared upon ordering. My son and I had fish tacos, the fish was lightly battered and super fresh… when in the Peñasquitos area- this place is a must. I
Highly recommend the lobster burrito which is my normal go-to when I come here. The customer service is amazing and restaurant is always clean and organized…. Do yourself a favor and support this local business.
