Mikes red tacos is by far the BEST birria restaurant chain in San Diego….love the food, the service and the restaurant is really nice and clean inside. The ONLY downside is, is the size of the dining area. It’s quite small but they make it work. The food is so good, I’m willing to compromise. Compared to other places? Specifically “birria” focused restaurant chains? This one, by far, has the perfect array of precise (not too spicy and not too bland) spices! Considering it is a chain of a small owned business owner? It is certainly not getting the credit it deserves! You will NOT be disappointed! (Clairmont location)
