The CA Birria burrito was a 3/5 in my opinion. Really nothing special. I actually don't enjoy it with the fries.
The red birria taco on the other hand was a 5/5. Great tasting tacos and salsa bar has great options
Things that were disappointing. The service. Seems like they are more concerned with Door Dash orders instead of walk in customers. Waited 20min for my order and the place wasn't that busy.
Would be nice to give customers more garnishes.
Pickled onions and reddish they give you kind of suck. Maybe add some cucumbers like a traditional Mexican taqueria.
Aguas frescas from a fountain drinks / dispenser should be a crime. Any restaurant that offered this automatically is a negative. Good tacos should be served with fresh aguas frescas.

Landed in SD for a conference and when looking up Mexican food this place popped up so we decided to give it a try. I got the cali burrito and it was delicious. I couldn’t finish the burrito (they kindly ask if you would like it cut in half) and as a girl that can eat this was definitely a filling burrito and gave the last few bites to my husband.
The salsa bar is great, you gotta try the creamy green med hot salsa that was our favorite. You can definitely tell the salsas aren’t your grocery store bulk salsas. These have gotta be made in house.
Environment reminded my husband where high school students or young college kids grab a quick bite.

We just had the best tacos in a while, and the churros were outstanding! Both were absolutely worth it, and I'd highly recommend this spot if you're craving amazing tacos and churros. Can't wait to go back and try more. Absolutely amazing !!!
Food was amazing. Couldn't believe they had a 4.9 rating with over 1700 review, but the food was that good. You're best bet is to order at the computer, it's way faster than waiting on the poor girl trying to bag orders and take yours. Drinks and salsa bar were messy, but they were really busy, the bathrooms were gross.
The tacos were big however the beef was stringy when you invite into it you would pull out the whole filling it was just okay

Just came for pick up and just came to try the Loaded nachos. They did not miss. I had to come back originally because I forgot to place my online order but the place was popping. Definitely coming back soon to eat there in person and try more. Nachos were better after being air fryer did get a little soggy but that happens.
