The shabu shabu is pretty good. However, the service is way under par. The place is probably less than half full. However, it still takes a good 10+mins wait even with reservation. They need to train the staff better

Tasted like water

I went to MoMo in SD for lunch today and encountered a really bad waitress who didn't smile and served her with a stinky face from the beginning to the end. From the beginning of ordering to asking her to get something, she looked stinky. In turn, she even thanked her but didn't respond. I saw her serving white people with a smile but a discriminatory face towards us Asians. This is not the first time we have been to this restaurant, but this time we felt seriously discriminated against.

Seems more a staffing issue than anything. Went at 5:20pm (granted this is prime dinner time) was turned away stating the soonest we could dine was 8:15pm. The restaurant was 15% full with a large party starting to head out,

2 servers and 2 host were seen, if the restaurant is this busy and the table capacity there should be more workers to attend the guest.

Will try again at a later date with a reservation through 'OpenTable' but with the thoughts of my previous attempt.

not much choice, meat and veggie was good. add-on for drinks.

I went back to Mo-Mo with my friend, and the service was amazing! Our waiter was Adam and he was such a great server. He helped us with everything we needed and was very sweet. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great as well. 10/10 recommend!

Josh, our waiter, was very friendly and helpful. We never had to call on him as he would appear and check on us. We love the food and the ambiance. Thank you!

One of our waiter forgot some of our items and didn't follow up with us much. Food is amazing as always. The vibe is great.

Good experience for shabu-shabu. The quality of the food is good or above, and the staff has been helpful when we need them. Atmosphere is marked down but that is not necessarily the fault of the establishment, just it is a bare bones kind of joint.

Vegetarian options: Just seems like you are paying a premium for the meat, so to go and get just veggies would be an expensive way to do it. Maybe they have that option. I don't know.

My daughter and I enjoyed the experience and the food. It was clean and even though they were short in servers we got help when we needed it. The servers were great with checking in to see if we needed anything. We love coming here.

3rd visit to Mo-Mo and they continue to keep their high standards with service and food quality. I'm a big hot pot lover and if I were to bring out of town guests to a memorable hot pot place in San Diego, this is where I'd bring them!
