The keto breakfast salad is amazing!! Super fresh ingredients, crispy bacon and big portion! Great friendly service. Happy I stumbled upon this spot.

I kind of wish I tried some of the breakfast food at this place because that seems to be what a lot of people enjoy here. I only got coffee here and it was sub-par. Though the location is a bit small with limited seating, the service is great and staff are pretty quick! Would definitely give them a try again for the breakfast if I’m in San Diego!

Slow service (only two nice but overworked people at breakfast rush time?) with a 10-15m wait for coffee and food. Avocado toast was disappointing and poor value, with minimal avocado hidden by lots of greenery. Nice coffee.

Had a macha latte, house coffee with an almond croissant and a scone and they were all horrible!
The coffee had a weird after taste, I didn't finish it. The matcha had no matcha flavor, it was like drinking hot water. The croissant had a big lump of "almond" paste and was very dry.
And the scone! I'm just lost for words! Who puts frosting on a scone? Kudos if that's your thing, and i have seen those at starbucks, but I think it's a crime.
I wish there was a savings grace as I really wanted to like this place, but even when I scraped all the frosting, the scone itself was as dry as a biscuit.
I guess, I should have paid attention to the artwork at the entrance. They don't care!

This bohemian feeling care should be THE place for breakfast in San Diego Gaslamp quarter. Sitting on a bar stool facing Sixth Ave makes my trip to the conference much more memorable. That last time I was in San Diego was about 30 years ago. Too young and too new in this country to linger in San Diego instead I rented a car and went down to Baja California. Not this time. Though there are way too many homeless people on the street, Chiefy Cafe makes me feel so at home. Must come back.

I don’t even really like coffee but I tried a sip of my girlfriends honey lavender latte and it was super yummy. Fruit bowl was also awesome. Love this place.
