Great steak house with an awesome old school vibe. Food was great and the bar had some very good cocktails as well.

Had a great experience with our large family. We walked by it all the time while on vacation in Mission Beach and decided to give it a shot. Food was excellent (the steak was great, the appetizer foccaccia was amazing, and they have a solid French onion soup). They had a great kids menu as well, which i wasn't expecting at a steakhouse. We went on a Thursday night, and they take over the patio of Molly's right next door, which was really pleasant (i think I heard same owner). Service was outstanding. I thought it was a little pricey, but Im coming from AZ and find everything a little pricey in San Diego.

Cool vibe and a great happy hour at the bar. I used to come for happy hour and stay for dinner. A few of the bartenders are a bit standoffish but I just ignored it. I won't be back based on my recent experience.

I came in at 5:50pm and requested happy hour item, intending to stay for a dinner. The bartender rudely refused to give me the menu stating happy hour was finished. If you'd like to not serve happy hour or stop it at 5:50pm - then by all means do so, but don't advertise that you offer it until 6pm. Go somewhere where they appreciate the business of regulars!

Great steak restaurant! Service was outstanding! Everyone was very friendly! We had Moe’s Focaccia for an appetizer which is unique to this restaurant. The appetizer was a 12 out of 10 outstanding. If you’re visiting San Diego Mission Beach make a reservation for Moe’s you’ll enjoy

Had not visited Moe’s since it was Saska’s. Overall, our party of four was disappointed. While we had an excellent waiter, the disorganized nature of the communication between the kitchen and the food runners was evident. Two of the four meals were delivered while we were just about halfway done with our salads. Apologies were given, but no remedy taken. The other meals were delivered about 35 minutes later. As for the food, the only positive comment is that the quality of the steaks (three of us ordered the 10 oz filet). Unfortunately, they were served cold, as were the 1oz of brandy peppercorn and bernaise sauces ordered as an accompaniment (for an additional $8). One had the sea bass; it was a woefully small cut and was also served lukewarm. The side two of us ordered, the asparagus with peas, was absolutely horrid. The wedge salads were also quite small, unappealing and unappetizing. One had the French onion soup and it was on point. Overall this was a forgettable experience for the four of us, especially at $125 per person after gratuity.

The food has no flavor . Ordered pasta and 28 days aged steak. Both tasted very bland . Steak was very hard and chewy . The food is expensive , but there is no bread served with dinner . I would not go back .

Best old fashioned ever and the crème brûlée was to die for. Chef and manager kindly stopped by to say hello. Have been here before and will be back!

Small and dark space. Drinks are nothing beyond the ordinary and the service is not very attentive. It's a place that wants to be a five star steakhouse with an upscale cocktail bar but it just falls short and doesn't fit the energy of Mission Beach.

Definitely not Saska's anymore. Moe's is waaayyy overpriced! A $61 filet arrives on a plate with NOTHING else on it, not even a 50 cent baked potato. It's insulting. What surprised me most was that Moe's was packed on a Tuesday night and not just with couples, but with families with children. At a price point this high, I would assume that most families would reserve Moe's for a special occasion or date night. There's a steak on the menu for $120 too with absolutely no sides included again, no baked potato or side salad, something inexpensive but more of a meal. Sure you can get a small helping of mashed potatoes on the side for $13 (and this is a portion size of probably the equivalent to one potato). With all the restaurants available in San Diego, Moe's is very overpriced for a restaurant with no view.

For those of you unfamiliar with Saska's, that was the steak house that existed in the space before Moe's. You would get an entire meal: a soup or salad, a steak and a side for about $50.

I ended up ordering the $50 short rib at Moe’s because it was at least a meal. However when asking the waitress if the short rib was meaty or fatty, she responded that some are very fatty. Really, $50 for a piece of fat? I asked if she could ask the kitchen to give me a meaty one and she did. It did have a piece of fat in it, but it was only about the size of a quarter. I sure would have been disappointed if I spent $50 on a piece of fat. One would think that, at that price point, quality control would dictate that all pieces be more meaty, but who am I, I don't run the restaurant. For reference on the pricing: our meal for 4 adults (no desserts) with drinks (no bottle of wine), tax, and tip was over $600. Yikes! I give it a 3 star because the food was good, but the prices were far too high given the alternative choices in San Diego.
