This place had unique ice cream flavors and I can't wait to try them all. I also really love the coffee.

We stopped by the new Stella Jean in Kensington on a Tuesday at around 8 pm. There is only street parking but we were able to find a spot right out front. The shop wasn't too busy and there is some indoor seating. The ice cream menu here is similar to other Stella Jean locations except I believe this is the only location that offers ice cream cookie sandwiches. You can do an open faced cookie sandwich (1 cookie and 1 kids ice cream scoop) or a full cookie sandwich (2 cookies and 1 kids ice cream scoop). There are 6 cookie flavors to pick from: chocolate chip walnut, butter cake, oatmeal golden raisin, blueberry pancakes, double chocolate (I think this is gluten free), and miso snickerdoodle. They have suggested cookie and ice cream pairings as well and I tried an open faced cookie sandwich with a butter cake cookie and ube ice cream. I really enjoyed having the cookie with the ube ice cream. The cookie was really buttery and it added some nice texture and crunch to the ice cream. Definitely come by if you are interested in trying Stella Jean's with some freshly baked cookies.

Awesome ice cream shop with really unique flavors. Check out the mango sticky rice and Ube. They have a small back patio to hang out at if you don't want to sit in the front next to the busy street

The ice cream:I was skeptical at first when I was told about how it was made, and it sounded way to "healthy" and didn't think I was going to like it.Do not let that fool you. This was the best ice cream I think I have ever had. It's almost like they swam to Antarctica and took a scoop of ice from an ice glacier, then hopped in a boat and went to Alaska to get some of the most pure snow to blend it with and formed them together to make the most luscious, most beautiful tasting ice cream in the world. Like every little bite you take your taste buds will explode in your mouth.The overall experience:Amazing ice cream, found on Google and had good reviews, and went to try it. The gentleman that was working behind the counter I found out actually lived in the area of Illinois I grew up in, and we chatted for a while about that. He was very awesome and pleasant to talk to. This place hands down will be on my stop list every time I come to San Diego

This ice cream store was such nice and friendly. Was greeted and kindly answered our question. My daughters tried the taro and the birthday cake, which tasted great. I had the pistachio ice cream with a cone and was great as well. Seating is outside. Highly recommend, while supporting a local business.

Just a blah experience overall. My family tried each others ice creams and out of the three we got none really were that great. Also, the teen working tonight had no customer service skills. How about stop trying to be so cool and smile/thank your customers. With all the other great ice cream spots in the area, definitely go somewhere else.

The owner is stiff. Weird about how many people in the shop at once, no sampling, always running out of flavors or cones, the icecream is nothing to write home about, but it's the only good thing about coming here. He was weird about making a small cup for my dog. Parking always sucks in this area. I'm out on this place.
