If you're looking for the budget hole-in-the-wall authentic Chinese spot, you've found it. Mr. Spicy sure surprised me!The atmosphere takes you right back to the year 2001, and honestly so do the prices. Each plate could serve a family of 2-3 comfortably and they each cost ~$10. Easily the best Chinese food I have had in San Diego thus far. The dishes are clearly authentic, and it is cool to always see the same couple working the front and back of house everyday. Prices are also extremely low for the portion sizes!
Food here was average. My bf said it’s better then the one inside the IKEA plaza. Plus prices here are fairly cheap. Tots with tip came out to be $40.This place only accepts take out and no dine in.
