A little noisy but really good seafood in the buffet if you're a fan of poke.

Great seafood place. They have buffet style serving all types of delicious seafood. They usually have three types of soups including vegetable soup. A lot of different varieties of sweets and they also have good options for vegetarians. Good for lunch as well as dinner.

Natsumi is a buffet restaurant that offers great value for money when it comes to sushi and seafood. If you're looking to enjoy a wide variety of seafood and sushi without breaking the bank, this place is definitely worth the price. The freshness of the ingredients appears to be quite good, and the menu features a fusion of Asian flavors, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese dishes, as well as Filipino street food like fried bananas.

The sushi selection includes: poke bowls, assorted sushi rolls, freshly sliced sashimi, and more. The seafood options feature: crab legs, fresh shrimp, oysters, and others. For soups, there are choices such as egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and miso soup. The dim sum variety includes: shumai, dumplings, sesame balls, and more. The hot food section offers: steamed fish, orange chicken, salt-and-pepper crab, honey walnut shrimp, rice, noodles, and other dishes.

Note that drinks are not included in the buffet price. Although the staff may not be particularly smiley, they are efficient at clearing plates—often tidying up the dining area quickly while you're getting food. While the decor may not be particularly refined or modern, the pricing is very reasonable for a buffet:

· Lunch (11:00 AM - 3:30 PM): $18.99
· Dinner (after 4:00 PM): $31.99 / $33.99

Not gluten free options nor a knowledge of how the food is prepared so as a costumer it’s disappointing and very dangerous to dine in.

had an amazing dinner buffet last nov 23. it was our first time to go to San Diego.
We visited friends, went to Midway Museum then viewed the sunset in Torrey Pines.

Went straight to Nataumi and the food selection was great especially for the price range…i had the same quality and variety of a Japanese buffet here in LA.

the staff was also very friendly and always visiting us to refill drinks - considering that it was a busy saturday night - that was very impressive.

Next time im San Diego i’d surely not gonna skip thia place

Parking: we went at night and soeme neighboring establishments were closed so maybe the ease of parking was due to that.

it’s my first time there

This place was overall pretty good! However, I docked it 1 point due to the price (We spent $40 a person). It is a buffet, however, so my experience may be different from yours.

Kid-friendliness: It's kid-friendly with lots of treats for those who are picky.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant can be entered using a wheelchair ramp.

Best sushi you can get at a buffet. Quality food, so it makes sense to pay a little more for a buffet. Lunch and dinner can be quite busy and the quality of the food drops a little, understandably. (After 2 would be the best time to go) My favorite buffet in SD.

Better quality A.Y.C.E. with great rolls, food for everyone, and their desserts aren't bad either. Worth the price and never had a wait that wasn't worth it.

I think that this place is overpriced by what they have to offer, food is just ok.

San Diego Restaurants Review

*** WHITES AND ASIANS ARE WELCOMED*****

*****Please read******
IF YOU ARE NOT ASIAN OR WHITE YOU WILL BE RACIALLY PROFILED. I’ll explain.

The waiters tend to leave the bill on the table quickly as a way to “push” you out. That’s not a big deal, but it’s mostly done with Latinos and African Americans - never with Asians or whites. If you continue to and take your time, they will continue to swarm your table in a passive aggressive way. The other day my friend who is African American grabbed the bill and decided to head to the front to pay, and I stayed behind to finish my drink, and that’s when I noticed that the waiters were frantically watching, to the point they send someone to confirm that she was going to the register to pay. They began to speak their native languages, commanding the younger ones to verify again that she was going to pay. Every Asian and white who got up during that time wasn’t questioned. It was absolutely because she was black. I confronted the staff front desk and explained I saw everything. I saw them look to see if she was walking out, ( mind you many other Asian and whites were walking out too and nobody was questioned), I saw the main waitress command the other server to run to the front to confirm she was going to pay, I saw the servers return to report back to the main waitress, and then ironically after saying all that to the front desk staff, the man turned red, looked dazed that I even confronted him (he knew I had caught them), and he simply said I’m sorry. Didn’t even attempt to say it was a mistake, or make some excuse. IM SORRY. As if it’s okay, but since you caught us, I’m sorry. Confirming exactly what I had experienced.

I have always respected other cultures, always understood their differences, but this restaurant needs to fix this. They will speak in their native language to ensure you don’t understand. This is done maliciously and very subtle, and we Americans allow it.

If you’re a servicemember, they can tell and won’t do it to you, because they know the base is a big money maker, but show up as a regular black civilian outside the regular weekly lunch time, and you will be profiled. Wear a fitted ball cap,. Profiled. They don’t want us there. Sadly, I’ve be going there and have observed this over a few months. I review restaurant all the time (check my reviews) and I will report this to the San Diego Chamber of commerce, the Better Business Bureau, and all African American support agencies.

She is a disabled veteran who happens to be African American. Our reviews are always to uplift people, and this one just hurts me to write because it isn’t anything with the food, it’s everything to do with Racism, racial profiling Blacks and Latinos, while providing great service to Asians and whites.

Stop your servers from doing this. The language is a huge issue. It’s done on purpose. Fix it !
