Between the three of us we tried 9 totally different cocktails and they were all amazing— every time we'd try a drink, we'd take a sip and then make a happy face because it was so unexpected and delicious. The service was fantastic, and the interior is beautiful!

Incredible cocktails; inventive and delicious. Took a minute to find the place but that is the fun of a speakeasy. Ask for Zach if you can, but the other mixologists looked great too. Generous with their ingredients, I asked to see a bottle of the gin in one my drinks and to smell it. Zach one-upped my request and poured me a taster. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We don't frequently splurge for an expensive night like this, but it was well worth it. We'll be back for sure.

The Hood is one of our favorites when we are in San Diego. Whomever dreamt up this place with the 2 speakeasies in the back was next level. Thoroughly enjoy being able to get a draft of Pliny the Elder. The Bone Marrow starter is simply the best. Although from several states away, we have been able to hang here multiple times. It’s lively with a simple menu. Perfect quick bite or stick around and enjoy the many cocktails. We have never even been to either of the speakeasies, we enjoy the front bar/pub.
This place is hands down one of the best places downtown. It has such a classy vibe and the prices are super affordable for what they offer. We had to get the beef tartare, the bone marrow, Burrata cheese and their burger. I have to say that I wish I would've had room to try more because what we tried was delicious. Great ambiance, nice service and good eats. Plus, they have a very good beer and drink menu

Visited 4/18/25 which was a Friday at 10:00 and was highly impressed, service, food and quality was all A+. It’s a very pretty interior and they play music from tapes and records! They were very busy and estimated 45 minute wait for a table and came in under at 30 minutes. We also were able to get drinks at the bar while we waited. We ordered perogies for appetizers which were delicious. Ordered the hood burger and chicken sando. Both were extremely fairly priced and the quality was truly excellent. Both came with fries and at first glance didn’t look like enough food but they were pretty perfect.

Wonderful first time experience. Very expensive, so glad we had a chance to try it - will be our only visit. Drinks, ambience and service was perfect. We liked how you get chips and a few tiny pickles to snack on and recommend eating prior since this is the only “food” offered. The recent reviews were correct and I feel would be better if all three drinks were created for you.
