This is a cute little place inside the Hilton. I ordered a Wild Hare Salad to take back up to my room with me. The salad had way too much bitter greens (maybe arugala?) and the dressing was too tart. But the worst part was that they gave me a wooden fork to eat with. Have you ever tried to eat a salad with a wooden fork? I couldn't stab the lettuce, so I couldn't really eat it.
Great food! Had lunch there while attending a convention. They accept open table reservations, so no issues when you have a time limit and want to ensure your table is available. The TABLE sandwich is delicious! Also had the cheeseburger and buffalo chicken sandwich which were equally very good. Service is quick, staff are welcoming and attentive. Would recommend the Wild Hare.
I stayed at the Hilton Gaslamp a couple of months ago and was very impressed with the service I received at the Wild Hare Bar. Marissa’s kindness and professionalism made my stay there very enjoyable. After a long day of travel she was very accommodating. The drink I enjoy was not available but she made every effort to duplicate it. So much so that it will be my go to drink when I stay there. Her professional and courtesy made it easy for me to bypass eating out in the gas...
