Next Door Craft Beer & Wine Bar

Just recently moved into the area and happened to stumble upon this place and let me tell you, it’s going to be hard to go to other establishments in the area. Arturo the owner is an incredible host and cook and his selection of fancy wine and beer is exceptional. This place reminds me of a bar in a tropical destination and feels like home everytime I walk through the door. Highly recommended

Love this place!! Be sure to ask the person behind the bar to recommend something for you. He's gotten it right every time for me and I've been able to enjoy so many different wines that I otherwise would've never even known existed much less selected on my own!!

I get that this is a wine bar but they advertise craft beer as well. I was one of only 3 customers and it still took about 10 minutes to get a beer because the beer was so foamy that the bartender had to pour it into a pitcher and let the foam go down, pour a little more, let the foam settle and repeat for about 10 minutes until there was enough beer to pour a glass.

I almost stopped him cause I was waiting so long. The beer was warm, which is why there was so much foam and tasted funny. To top it off it was almost $10. Way too pricy when the same beer is $7 most other places around the area.

As I was trying to enjoy the warm beer, I'm not sure if he's the bartender or owner but whoever it was lit a joint on the back patio with a couple of friends. And since the back patio door is open from behind the bar the smell just came through the bar.

I get that this is California and it's everywhere, but that doesn't mean that everyone wants it around them and shouldn't be able to smell it throughout the bar.

I live right around the corner and it's a shame that I won't be returning because it would be nice to find a cool spot I could walk to.

We had a wonderful night at Next Door! Belly dancing was such great entertainment, the patio in the back is a pretty lounge area, and Arturo is a wonderful host serving great drinks and food. We are excited to come back.

This is a must for every San Diego local and anyone passing through. Some of the best beer you can find, great host, good food, and great vibes all around whether you are just stopping for a drink for a date or hanging out with friends.

One of those rare and great hole in the wall type wine bars. Pleasant and attentive service, with that local small business type that you want to support. They even have a small backyard area for the smokers .

This is a hidden gem ? Arturo was so friendly and recommended amazing wines and beer for an evening out with friends. The music was upbeat and fun throughout the evening and even ended the night with karaoke!! Ask for Kiki too, you will not be disappointed!
