You have to really pay attention in this place because you can easily go over your intended amount. The broth is quite good but i only have an issue with all the labeling/colors of the containers. Im capable of understanding the whole label and what price for each container is you pull out from the fridge. Though if you’re not in the right mindset.. you’re getting a fun surprise after seeing the bill. But if you’re rich none of this matters i suppose. Oh and if you need a napkin… its inside your table (drawer)

Decent hotpot option, fairly well-priced ($101 for 4 people) and we ate well! The staff are also friendly and helpful since it was our first time and did not know how the ordering system worked.

The GIRL SERVER WAS VERY RUDE. I told her it was my first time being there and if she could please explain it. She was just rushing and there's no other customers around, I don't know why she's rushing for. Just when we get there in February 14 she was already angry and I was glad to wait 12pm and she didn't give us good service. The guy server gave us good service. The girl should be fired and find another job.Overall food is fine.

If you are looking for analogies on the type of place this is, think of Kula Revolving Sushi, minus the conveyor belt, and hotpot version. Or if you've been to Seapot (which isn't here in San Diego), without the conveyor belt. The ambiance of the restaurant is bright at the tables with a certain element of darkness in the background. You can also place a reservation if needed. Having a meal here is best for communal sharing, best on a cold day. You pick your broth to share for the table with two choices. For the spice level, it could be spicy. If you are unsure, you can have them start you off mild and then add more spice if it's not enough. The menu has items and drinks that aren't available at their appetizers (graffiti) or fridge area. Some of their popular items that even had me eyeing it like the crispy fried pork. After writing down your order, go to the graffiti decorated area to make your sauce to dip your items in. There is also have soups and some fruit with sesame balls - that's usually grabbed towards the end of your meal, but you can do it anytime. Then after putting down your items, you grab a white tray, and make a second visit to gaze upon the fridge and see what items you want in the hotpot. They have a plethora of meat along with some vegetarian options on the stick. Majority of items are seasoned spicy. This is not an all you can eat via one price. One stick is 50 cents. The boxes are priced based on color (which are unlisted). Once you grab your food options, your pot should have been brought to the table already and you can start to enjoy! My favorite to grab was the money bags as we went during Lunar New Year Eve. Parking may be a tad hard if you going during hungry time but there is also street parking. Bathrooms were alright. There are also shelves for holding food that you grabbed, but many patrons put their clothes in the middle to low areas. The most sticks the server who was counting ours was 200 sticks. We ate 78 sticks worth between 5 people at our table. Came out to around $175 without tip. We had 2 big eaters, 2 medium eaters, and 1 small eater. For big eaters, this may not be the place for you to splurge. But for small eaters, this is perfect to eat the amount you want. For those with food sensitivities, it will be hard to eat if your table since everything will be easily cross-contaminated (if you come in a group).

Servers were not very attentive. Soup bases were really good. Went as soon as they opened so no problem being able to get the skewers, veggies, and salad bar items.

Seen this place on IG and decided to check it out. I loved it! I’ve been to other hot pot places, but I like the fact that I can choose what I want in the form of skewers and as much or little as I want. I tried the cilantro beef, pepper beef and spicy pork belly along with the cabbage, and sweet corn on the cob.

The location has no parking. Tables are more than they could attend to. Servers: if you want something, you must get it yourself. An example was a ladle, not provided once your soup was brought out. The water pitcher was provided once, and you will not get assisted after. The idea of .50 per stick and self-serve is excellent. However, it is not itemized on your receipt. I always take a photo of our food since it's a thing. Our total came up to $68. With maybe 25/30 sticks is $15. We did not go for seconds. The multi soup is $14, two green dishes, a plate of mussels, and $2.50 ea additional for very few appetizers/desserts. The receipt is not itemized, and we were overcharged. Their menu is misleading and unclear. We do not recommend it if you want a poor experience.

The food was tasty, the mild spicy tallow broth (note: mild here was what i consider a medium LOL maybe i just couldn't handle the spice) and the bone broth was so flavorful. i liked the concept a lot because we could basically just get our own meats and whatnot, and appetizers/dessert/sauce bar was only $2.50 per person. the meat skewers were definitely the star since it was only 50 cents a skewer so you could get a lot for each person. i went with my family (4 people in total) and it came out to about $20 per person max. the place was really nice and the workers were attentive to restocking the food and nice to the customers. issues: it was kinda hard to walk around because of the setup of the restaurant; the tissues were in a convenient but awkward spot (drawer under the table); the skewer sticks got really hot so you had to be careful/they're in the way if you're short and trying to reach your arm around; and the chair moved if you leaned forward too much (i had to reach forward a lot bc you can't really move the chair bench things). pros outweigh the cons. overall the vibes are nice, the food is tasty, and the price isn't bad at all! i plan to eat here again!

Food was good and meats were fresh. The spicy broth mild is very spicy so start mild and add more if you'd like. The mushroom broth had a nice flavor and was good. The meats and veggies taste best with the sauce but the salad bar/sauce bar is extra so you have to add the 2.50. Getting the veggies and meats by skewers rather than boxes is cheaper and a better deal. To clear any confusion, each skewer/stick is .50 cents so basically meats are 1.00 and veggies are .50. So just pay attention to exactly the amount of sticks. The beef with mushroom and spinach was absolutely delish. I do wish the servers went around more frequently to refill waters/drinks because I had to flag down the person a few times. The bathrooms weren't as clean as I would have expected. Overall good eats and will try again but will likely refrain from the bathroom area.

The food is good. The customer service is great. This is a good place to try hot pot.

Visited Nice2MeetU in Irvine and decided to check out the one in Convoy to compare the quality! I went last night with some friends and it was BUSY! Given the holiday time + cold weather, I recommend to join the waitlist if you can. This location is spacious with ample tables and booths. However, the skewer fridge + snack/sauce bar are small so when it gets busy, it's hard to get your items! From my experience last night, it was extremely hard to get a server's attention and they unfortunately ran out of spoons and ladles :( Despite that, our table ordered the Bone Broth + Mushroom Soup which were packed with flavor. I recommend getting these two flavors if you've never been here before because their spicy is SPICY!!! My friend who LOVES spicy couldn't even handle the light spice for some reason. I would come back again when it's not busy.

My visit to "Nice 2 Meet U" had its ups and downs. The food was a highlight, scoring a solid 4 out of 5, but the mild spice level wasn't consistent, with one soup being unexpectedly hot. Service was standard, nothing outstanding. However, the steep price of $72 plus tips for two, despite not eating much, was a letdown. Additional charges for sauces and appetizers at $2.50 per person felt unnecessary. Sadly, the experience took a toll as both my companion and I had stomachaches the next night, leaving uncertainty about the cause--whether it was the hot pot or something else. In summary, "Nice 2 Meet U" offers enjoyable food, but issues with pricing transparency and potential food quality concerns might make you think twice about the overall value.

Cool spot to try out skewer style hot pot. Everything is self serve from the veggies, noodles, meat skewers, and sauce. You can order plates of meat with the servers. This spot is not all you can eat, so you pay by the amount of skewers you grab and the boxes of veggies and noodles are color coded by price. The house spicy beef tallow soup is incredibly spicy and numbing. My friend and I had to fish out the peppers but it was still very spicy. I like their bone broth the best! Service is pretty good. Self serve stations are well maintained. Parking can be a pain during prime hours here.

We saw this placed closed at 11:00pm and arrived at around 9. Staff said restaurant was already closed for the night. I get it but wish the open sign was like turned off or something.
