Long wait time. Turnover time was long. Staff kept bringing out the wrong food to our table. Broth was too greasy. Ordered a spicy ramen with substitute tofu, but my tofu was cold đ„¶. My ramen was lukewarm.

The food was good, potions were small compared to other ramen places though. I used to come to this place often but it has definitely gone downhill from before. I believe the service was below par. We had come in and it wasn't busy nor was it slow but, the servers were acting frantic as if they were so busy. I had asked for an item anf the server never got back to me regarding my request. In addition, she had an attitude upon us checking out, she was just very pushy and had an attitude when I told her I was not ready (since she placed the check on the table and she saw me reaching in my bag, I was getting my phone, and she just stood there and kept showing me the card reader machine). I took out my wallet immediately and then that when I told her I was ready, I notice she was pretending to look everywhere, and when she got back to me she was very short and did not even let me finishmy sentence. It's not good customer service, and the fact we had to pay the mandatory service fee for attitude is ridiculous.

I was there this past Tuesday.
I wish I would have taken a picture of the chicken, my fault for not sending it back.
It was horrid, when I say burnt I mean it. Did not look like chicken karage (however you spell it).
Husband and I ordered ramen⊠20min in my daughter threw up, she eat rice and corn that my husband had take off his ramen.
Poor thing kept vomiting that night.
My husband got sick also the day after, coming out both ends.
Do not recommend!

Portions are small, but ramen is flavorful.
Automatic 15% service charge discourages me from visiting again cause it was definitely not a 15% tip experience.

Iâve been eating at Nishiki for 10 years; that said, I hadnât been back for a while, so I took my wife and a buddy and his sister to Nishiki for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling that much of what we enjoyed about the restaurant is now gone.
In particular, the service leaves alot to be desired. Some time ago, Nishiki got rid of tippingâand in theory, great. But the service is terrible as a resultâno one called out the name we registered with, causing us to almost lose our table, we were checked on once during our meal, the food arrived at 3 different times, and resulting in our party effectively eating separately, and to top it off, a server spilled a tray of drinks on me and other than a half hearted âsorryâ had nothing to say. And this doesnât even touch the huge number of menu items theyâve outright removed from the menu, or the ramen customizations they prohibit despite having all ingredients on hand.
The broth is admittedly good. But the service and overall experience leaves alot to be desired. So do yourself a favor and try one of the many award winning ramen spots on Convoy OTHER THAN Nishiki. Writing this saddens me, as it used to be my favorite spot.

Honestly really great ramen. I have yet to come across a great vegan ramen. This place has great vegan ramen. Do NOT go to tajima for your ramen. Make the trip to this place. It will not dissapoint.

This is still the best place in town to get Curry Vegetarian Ramen. But I am truly disappointed by how extremely overpriced it is right now. It costs about $25 for a bowl of Ramen with just two thin pieces of protein in it. They refuse to make any substitutions in the Ramen and still add a standard 15% service charge. What is the point of having waiters if you only serve the items in the menu and you canât make any modifications to it? Disappointed with the service, but still one of the best places for Ramen in SD.

The broth is way too salty and thick. Worse than the instant ramen sold in supermarkets

Chicken was burned, rice was overcooked, mandatory 15% tip.
Will not return. Location has gone downhill since last visit a few years ago.

Portions feel like they are 50% smaller than they were 4 years ago. Chashu slices are about as thick as deli ham. I got ramen with a boiled egg and the core of the egg was cold. Not worth the price.
