Not very good service experience. Nov 6 2022 wife and I went in for breakfast. We stood at the cashier desk and waited for the server for instruction where to seat. Stood for close to a minute or so, the server walked past us without saying anything. I asked if we should seat ourselves. Saw three guys walked in after us, they did not wait for long and immediately walked towards their table. My observation, server was not friendly to us compared to other customers. However food tasted good except the hash brown.

A lovely diner that is refreshingly to the point. Floating in the sea of trendy North Park brunch spots, North Park Diner stands out as an old school, no-frills restaurant for classic diner food. Look past all the nonsense in the modern hip restaurant world and just come here for some good-ole diner food!! Also seems to be family owned with a lot of history, so do the neighborhood a favor.

I recently had breakfast at north park diner and will most certainly go back. My food was priced well, silvered quickly, and I even had left overs! I enjoyed my Mexican breakfast and my girlfriend loved her chicken sandwich. There was plenty of seating and parking was ample.

Service was excellent! Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The dining room was clean and comfortable. I had the chicken fried steak and was very impressed with the quality. I look forward to dining here again and again! ??

The good: the food was delicious the chicken fried stake was bomb the gravy was on point. The parking was central. Staff was helpful and was very kind.The bad: they could use a face lift the dirty yellow paint kind of an eye sore.The ugly:nothing.I would recommend this to anyone who wants a bang for their buck. I would eat here again.

This place is absolutely disgusting and should be closed down. Dirty, filthy and musky smelling . The restroom is reason enough to have it shut down . Have a stomach pump on standby if you dare to roll the dice on a meal or glass of water here,

It's been years since I've last eaten here but my current review is based on service and treatment by a staff member regarding parking. High priced parking is advertised on a sign you can see from afar at the restaurant, but the same hostess I happen to see every time seems to always be really fed up when I simply approach her to pay for parking. I work in the area so parking tends to be very difficult to find at times, but when I resort to paying for parking with the hostess her rude and fed up attitude never fails to change. Please be aware you can only park in specific stalls and that their public parking hours are limited. Heads up that there's cheaper public parking right next door to the diner with a ticket madhine, so don't even bother to ask the diner about parking unless the parking next door is filled up. I'm not even considering to sit down and eat at this place based on how I was spoken to by the same hostess on many occasions. She should be understanding that inquiries about public parking will be common given it's located in North Park. It's too bad lousy attitudes turn away customers from coming to dine in.

This review is about the parking situation. While looking for a place to have lunch we saw this sign that says parking so we parked here at North Park Diner. An attendant quickly came up and asked how long we want to park and we decided 3 hours to be safe and she charged us cash up front. We walked down the street to look for a place to eat but realized nothing caught our eye so we went back to North Park Diner to eat. We were only parked for about 20 mins from the time we left until we came back so when we sat to order we asked the waitress if it was possible to refund the parking since it says it is free parking for customers, however, she said the owner said no refunds. She was really sweet and gave great service and even said she'd ask a second owner about the parking refund. Unfortunately, they also refused. We really enjoyed the food and service from our waitress but it's unfortunate that the owners are so greedy with money that they don't allow their paying customers to have $15 of parking money back or at least compensated on the bill.

We dine here when we crave diner breakfast for lunch. Have never had a bad meal here, and Sophia has always been our server. I know there's other servers, but we always have Sophia. Their diner bacon is so good! One of our "Go To" lunch places.
Visiting San Diego, we found this place as we were looking for another restaurant along the way and we decided to go to this place instead and glad that we did, food was good pancakes tasted homemade and hash browns were delicious! Nice quiet place to go have breakfast or brunch if you don't want to wait in long lines at other restaurants in the area lol

I was skeptical about this place after seeing the 4.1 stars on Google, but I was with some friends who insisted the food was good. The food was mediocre at best and expensive. You have to order the sides separately. I had the french toast and bacon. The bacon was basically raw and our cups were dirty. My biggest issue with the place was the service though. We went on a Saturday morning and it was not very busy. The waitress was rude from the beginning like our presence and questions about the menu bothered her. She made rude remarks to us and since the gratuity was automatically added to our bill, it seemed like she didn't care because she was getting a tip regardless. Overall it was a waste of money and disappointing because there are much better breakfast places to eat at in North Park.

Service and food was so bad that I didn’t tip and that’s rare for me. I’m a great tipper but I absolutely hated everything about this place. Food was trash and service was worst. Definitely don’t order Huevos Rancheros

Totally wasted money coming to this diner, to start the waitresses attitude was super unwelcoming. Red flag number one. My wife got her food which she ordered the huevos rancheros , it had no seasoning, beans tasted like they came canned from the dollar tree, eggs were bad, and just about everything on that plate. The food I ordered wasn’t very good either. Pancakes for my son were burnt. When the waitress asked my wife how she liked the food, she told her she honestly didn’t like it, the waitress just said “no?Well ok ?” You wanna order something else? But he won’t trade it. You will stay have to pay for an additional plate? Terrible service. Don’t order from here.
