The açaí and smoothies here are pretty good, though the smoothies can turn out too watery sometimes. The staff is not good. They often do not listen when you share your order, ask you to repeat it, and then still get it wrong. We enjoy coming here for the food, but always dread the service. A little more attention would go a long way. Also—everything is quite expensive.
I was driving through Point Loma and I felt the craving for a snack, something sweet and yet I wanted something healthy. I did a quick search and headed to Northside Shack to see what they had.
Northside Shack is located just off the road, in a small business plaza that houses other establishments.
I lucked-out because there was a parking space available right in front. I can tell that this may be a tricky location to access if not on foot.

The best Açaí bowl hands down! I got a medium Açaí with hemp granola, banana, strawberry, mango, honey, coconut & blueberries. The fruit was incredibly fresh and it was so delish! The prices are very reasonable for the portions and quality of ingredients. This will be a must visit spot anytime I'm in SoCal.
