Started with the Spicy Heights with the volcano heat level. It was the perfect spice temperature where I am about to break a sweat. Restaurants need to commit to catering to an authentic high spice level, and this place delivered!

Also, ordered the Crunchy Roll. It is shrimp with eel sauce and I loved it.

Great service and the best AC unit in San Diego. Check it out!

The lunch Ramen Combo is a good deal. You get a lot of food for a decent price. The ramen is very good and it comes with Karaage Chicken and Fried Gyoza. Good and quick service as well.

The seasonal poke ramen was very delicious. I was surprised! I never thought I could eat such delicious chilled noodles in America.
A restaurant that serves ramen that suits Japanese tastes!
I'll come back later!

The spicy tonkatsu ramen flavor is on point. Unfortunately it only comes with 1 piece of chashu and half an egg... I asked for extra chashu not knowing this and I got 2 pieces. I'm used to several peices of chashu and a whole egg not half in ramen in Japan . The gyoza was phenomenal. The karage was probably the worst I've ever had. Both in Japan and stateside.... I left half the order on the table. Wasn't worth taking to go. It was definitely an American attempt at Japanese fried chicken that failed with flair.

I have had ramen in countless restaurants from coast to coast and in-between and I was really looking forward to Nozaru. The service was terrific. Server was kind, personable and efficient. We ordered the Tonkatsu and we were immediately noticed that the surface was quite oily. Knowing it is a pork base, we expect some oil but not to this extent. It was also lacking the rich savory base that Tonkatsu is famous for. We were a disappointed, especially since Ramen is what they do.

Best Ramen I've tried in San Diego. The volcano spice level is NOT for the weak! Service was amazing, staff were so friendly and attentive. Parking is a little hard to find near the restaurant but definately worth the walk. I would recommend to all Ramen lovers, and if you dare...try the spicy heights.

I wanted to really like this place. If you see I give the food a solid 3 stars. This was my issue.1. I along with some other customers came in at 8:30 pm. So that is a whole half an hour pre-closing time listed. We were told by the guy behind the counter that they don't take orders for sitting after 8:30...nowhere did it state this. People that followed me in line who arrived at 8:45 pm were told they couldn't order because the kitchen was closed.2. In all the restaurants I've cooked at the ordering process doesn't end until the front doors close and then the kitchen can close. Sure the breakdown can start before it. Yet, I've never gone to a place where the kitchen closes down half hour before closing time.I think this is a great place but the manager or whoever owns the place has to put a hard rule in place. If you want to close at 8:30 then put that on the front door and lock the door at 8:30 pmMy two pennies. I just found it rude and lacking professionally. I hope this gets resolved.

Sushi was delicious. Tonkotsu broth was too salty. Not much flavor besides that. I would give any other both base a try.

Really lackluster compared to some of the other ramen shops in SD. The broth is meh and the noodles were nothing special.
