I just don't get the 4.4stars this place currently has on yelp?! Service was ok, a little slow but food was barely edible. We ordered the sushi sampler and the fish was mildly fishy and the rice was mushy and flavorless. I knew it we had chosen badly when my salad showed up with a mushy tomato. Just don't serve it if it's bad! Food: 1/5 Service 3/5 So disappointed!

We had the OB Lighthouse roll along with the Baked Salmon roll. Both were delicious. We were pleasantly surprised by the large size of each roll. The restaurant looked clean and fresh and was nicely decorated. The service was good and our rolls came quickly! We will be back again!

It's not the fanciest place in the world, but it's also really really awesome. I had some of the best sushi in my life. I like the deceptively simple exterior. it really fits the OB vibe that's for sure. I would go there again in a second except I'm 3000 miles away.

Had a couple rolls Nothing bad to say just average sushi . The waitress who is not busy at all, forgot my salad, so she missed one item that I ordered . I think I'd like the garlic edamame the best, which is sad so I don't think I'm coming back . Two rolls, garlic, edamame, one Diet Coke, which was a little pricey for $50 with the tip

First time at OB Sushiya. The service was good. Waitress was super nice and helpful. Sushi was delicious!!! Highly recommend the Double Flavor roll.... Yummy! We will be back next time we're in San Diego.

My toddler really wanted sushi. We happened to walk past this place and she thought it smelled great. I really wanted a grilled cheese from Hodad's but she always wins. It proved to be a great choice. Every roll we ordered tasted phenomenal. We got one Cali roll, baked salmon and a fried tempura type roll that was really really good. The atmosphere was nice. Pleasant decorations and ambiance. However, the bathroom was gross. Not just messy and unkempt, but pretty run down looking.The service was ok. Both ladies that waited on me seemed nice enough. The other patrons in the restaurant also seemed nice. There were lots of other kids. Another mom came over and talked to us. It was a great experience.

Pretty decent sushi quality. I found it to just be ho-hum tho. Country music playing probably killed the vibe for me and it was just a vanilla feel. Not bad not great. Unremarkable evening overall.
