insideOUT is a wonderful place right in the heart of Hillcrest. We were seated the moment we arrived. The place is gorgeous and something different for people who are bored with an ordinary restaurant. The staff were all so kind. And the food is sublime! *chef's kiss* We will be back very soon. But getting an outdoor reservation... now THAT'S the hard part.
Tommy was outstanding! The food was fantastic. I was a little underwhelmed with the decor. I've heard so much about this restaurant and a few plastic tulips was not what I was expecting.

I had no idea it was 18 and over. The decor I had seen in ad was not there. I was told only a couple times a year. It was super loud. Food and service were excellent. Our waiter Julian was a living doll. Salmon was outstanding! Pork chop and bolognese so good! Beignets were delicious!!!

From walking in and meeting Zander and his wonderful personality to our fabulous server Michael Grant we had a blast. The food is fabulous and listen to the recommendations. Wonderful restaurant.

Inside out is a hidden San Diego gem and completely worth reserving ahead of time. Ambience was everything. I was seated with a group of friends right by the little pool of water in the site of the place was just a beautiful urban dream. I think I was sitting right next to the speaker so it's a little bit loud. I parked on the street with metered parking that was pretty easy to take care of the use of my smart phone and scanning the QR code to pay for parking A group of friends and I were there for a little get together and some girl time during happy hour. Cocktails during happy hour with much value, and was very economical for what it was. Prior to my arrival, I ordered the shrimp appetizer and truffle fries, which were both delicious. They were both so delicious that I ordered another shrimp appetizer for my entrée. Our server was the sweetest lumberjack looking person To note, the restroom was an interesting situation and required thought, but for the most part was very clean and well kept.
insideOUT is just a lovely experience. From the host(ess) to our server... I wish I'd caught her name; she was absolutely delightful and kind and personable. I will be coming back! Fingers crossed it wasn't a fluke... but the energy is just GOOD, so I'm pretty sure this is just an authentically great place hidden in Hillcrest! <3
Just walking in, we knew this place would be awesome! The vibe was immaculate, the service exceptional, and the food amazing! Celebrated my hubbys birthday and Michael, our server, made sure we had a great time! He recommended great drinks and dishes and was just so sweet and helpful! Can't wait to bring my girls for girls night!❤️
Good food, prices weren't too bad, and the ambience is great. Bathrooms for men are a little weird. I'll definitely be back. The ahi poke was excellent as were the brussel sprouts

Such a great fist experience here! Chris was our server and was an absolute pleasure; he really made my birthday celebration special. Highly recommend the filet mignon if you're unsure on a dish. We'll be back soon!
I have been in InsideOut several times and the atmosphere is outstanding. I keep going back for that. Unfortunately, their menu is very limited. I am vegan and there are only few options. I believe that they can add more food choices. Last but not least, their servers are extraordinary. They have never disappointed me.

The appetizers were good. The main entree was mediocre and the fish was awful. We only took one bite and left it in its original place. The ambience is wonderful though it is quite small compared to to what we have seen on social media. Though some of our main entree food was not good, customer service was SUPERB! We had a fun time regardless
Everything was great servers, great scenery and great service. The only thing is that my oven baked chicken was it that seasoned. (I am a little picky when it comes to my food I just thought it was because it was closing time so they made it fast.
We loved it! Everyone on staff is very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed breakfast and mimosas! The food was great and priced well. The decor for the holiday makes it even more amazing! We will definitely be back!
The Valentines decor, food and service was awesome! I think they could have added more lights to the arches going up the stairs and maybe more red blinking lights! Kind of like Christmas time! Other than that I will always love InsideOUT!
