This is a cute walk in breakfast & bakery location that is in perfect walking distance of the beach. They have a wide variety of pastries and coffee to purchase, along with a little store.
We ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese kolache (which was incredible warmed up), the chocolate Croissant (which was average), and the Cinammon Roll (which was dry unless you warmed it up at home). I also got the vegan banana bread, which was delicious.
The cinnamon roll, while quite massive in size for the price, was not good cold. We had to microwave it for it to be tasty.
All in all, we spent $20 on 4 items, which was a good price considering the location right near the beach. It's a good grab and go kind of place and the staff were very friendly.

My husband and I wanted to buy some time before our late afternoon flight. We came across this place, ordered tea and cinnamon rolls and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather by sitting outside on the patio. ☀️🌤️ The cinnamon rolls were to die for!!!!

We did not have a great experience. The double chocolate muffin looked great but was very, very dry and crumbly. Very disappointing. Sam’s club muffins in a box are much better. The cinnamon role was good.

I really wanted to rate my purchase higher.
The cinnamon buns are supposedly famous but I chose a sticky bun instead.
The bun was in fact, big, puffy and dry. They are supposed to be soaked in syrup and moist. Not to my taste or satisfaction.

Not sure why all the hype for the cinnamon rolls. It did not have rolls nor cinnamon. You can find a better cinnamon roll nearby on Redondo street.

The jalapeño, egg, and cheese kolaches were amazing! Great find, we were here every morning except when we went to the cafe.

Was on a quest for sourdough on a quick getaway in San Diego and was lucky enough to find it homemade at Olive. They have some great "kolaches", which are basically stuffed puff pastries (get the spinach ricotta one). The coffee is pretty solid too. If you are looking for something more substantial, head to their sister restaurant across the street for some breakfast staples.

Best cinnamon rolls west of the Mississippi
Friendly staff, good coffee/tea very tasty things, we had a wide variety, primarily of kolaches, the sausage, bacon, and spinach/mushroom/ricotta ones were delightful, I was very happy to see the ricotta one wasn't full of liquid. That one in particular could use a bit of salt in the filling but they were all still very good. It is also like a little tiny kitchen/tchotchke shop? The things they had seemed quite nice.
Parking: No parking, just a walk up shop, street parking nearby
Wheelchair accessibility: Not entirely sure but I think it is only accessible by a short staircase. There MIGHT be a ramp that I missed.

Arguably the worst service ever received. Walked in with a group of 3, i asked about the hot honey latte. Instead of an answer the cashier just pointed towards the shelves. I couldnt see exactly what she pointed at but at this point i could tell i needed to just order and get out. The drink came out and it was a ghost pepper latte which the barista was kind enough to warn me of. We had a kind interaction where she remade the drink. The cashier on the other hand was horrid. Saying "that's on you bro", continually attempting to argue with me even though i wouldnt engage. Hands down the worst service i have ever received and i'll never come back.

You get what you pay for, BUT NOT HERE on SOME things.
The sausage and cheese kolache is a $0.50 cent sausage patty (2024 sausage patty "price to quality" ratio, not 2003 "price to quality" sausage patty ratio, disgusting sausage) thrown in a nicely baked, southern California twist of a Polish delight. My advise to the owners:
The microwave sausage tastes fine, but chop it up after microwaving the sausage, and THEN throw in the sausage in the baked good. Biting into that preservative filled sausage made me very pissed. 0/10 stars for what the sausage and cheese solution is. The sausage patty was also as thin as a piece of paper for an idea for quantity of meat.
Their bacon egg and cheese kolache is good, 7/10 for the baking, 3/10 for the filling.
Their latte is like drinking oddly tasting milk, without the espresso. It just doesn't taste like a good latte. I've traveled across the country, and world, everywhere knows how to make a latte, except this place.
Both kolaches were "warmed up" great on the outside, but still cold on the inside.
The employees were silently baking and making coffee like it was a bakery from the years of the crusades over a thousand years ago, in misery. Any music (nature background noise, waves from a beach, literally anything) would improve the atmosphere. It was nice to experience a bakery vibe from the year 500.
Locals probably think its a great 5 star experience because its what they are stuck with in their community within walking distance. The sugar addicts who love sugary cinnamon rolls might be giving this place 5/5 stars, I see through through the sugar dopamine increases they leave on people. 3/10 at best.

I’m a sucker for a good cinnamon roll, and boy did they deliver. The rest of the kolache that my son didn’t eat wasn’t half bad either.
There were even some gluten free treats for my wife. If we’d gotten rolling a little sooner in the day, I’m sure there would have been even more to choose from.
The proximity to the beach is great. The outdoor patio was quite pleasant, especially with the chocolate lab peeking at us from next door. Overall, excellent!
