I had the octopus special and it was literally the best meal I have had in 40 years of dining out! Subtle and savory. Those at my table had different entrees which were also excellent. I can hardly wait until I can dine here again!

It does feel like dining with friends in a large Italian living room - in the best possible way. Amazing food, especially the seafood-based options. Intimate seating, and could be a bit loud if you want a quieter environment. Bring your wine or drinks makes the check a lot lower. We are going back tonight, since this kind of place is a rare treat these days.

Loved this small family restaurant. It was about to close, and they still took us in.

The food was amazing, and love the mom and pop vibe. The food is simple
but delicious and well executed. I would recommend the tuna tartare appetizer and the spaghetti pescatore. And the focaccia was divine! The waitress was a lovely sweetheart and we were easily able to make a reservation on a Wednesday for a Friday night. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room gets quite loud during busy dinner hours.

Wheelchair accessibility: not wheelchair accessible. very small dining room with tables close together, and a few stairs up to the restaurant

Excellent dinner and service. Feels like a very warm vibe in there. BYOB. Focaccia was bomb. Burrata, mussels, pastas and pizza were excellent. My photo is missing half the pizza because it was so good it literally disappeared into my mouth. Tiramisu and Panna Cotta was delicious. This is a legit Italian restaurant with a mom and pop feel. 10/10 would return to eat there again. I wish I ordered more.

This was the best Italian meal I’ve ever had. Sarah was so kind, she felt like family. Everything from the focaccia bread, the antipasto, Entrees were INCREDIBLE with generous portions, to the moist Tiramisu’ and rich Italian espresso was TOP NOTCH. It had the feel of sitting in a warm Italian home and being spoiled by authentic cooking and a kind, almost family host. My family and I loved it so much and what a treat. I almost didn’t want to leave a review because I’d love for this to be my best kept secret but it was too delicious not to scream from the rooftops. Can’t wait to go back and try every dish on the menu!

Pretty disappointing. Spaghetti and clams 3/5 - flavor was good but the noodles were over cooked and stuck together / mushy. Vegetable pizza was 2/5 - crust was dry and hard, and the toppings were unremarkable.

Wonderful dinner experience. This place is quaint, charming, and a clear derivative from less is more. Simplicity at it finest, the star is the food. Ingredients are super fresh, clean, and superb in quality. The focaccia, wow. The seafood was excellent, peak freshness. I can’t say enough about this place for great, homestyle, Italian fare. Felt right a home, wonderful place!

Excellent food and service. This is our second visit, and we love this place. Our group of 4 (in our 50s and 60s) tried most of their dishes, and we cannot find fault in anything we tried so far. For a more convivial experience, select to sit outside, it's quite lovely and quiet and best for discussions with friends. Highly recommend.

Parking: Might have to go around blocks a couple of times to find street parking, not not too bad.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant in San Diego with four friends and was very disappointed with our experience. First we wanted to order a wine, as is usual in a traditional Italian restaurant. Unfortunately we were told they don't sell alcohol and we would have to walk two blocks to buy wine. This is not only inconvenient for us as customers, but also questionable from a business perspective.

When we finally ordered our pizzas, they came to the table ten minutes apart. In a real Italian restaurant in Europe, all pizzas are usually served to the whole table within 10 minutes. The pizzas themselves were a big disappointment: the base was rock hard, and the cheese and salami left the pizza greasy and soggy. The pizza with ham was only topped after it was baked, which is something I've never experienced before. The taste was just bad.

I don't understand how you can call yourself an Italian restaurant when you know so little about Italian cuisine. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant

Calm and serene atmosphere
The pizza was toasted - you would need 2 hands in order to break the pizza's crust on the sides.. it was very hard, I doubt it should have been this way. But waitress said that this was the normal way of doing it in Italy..

I ate in +100 italian restaurants so far, I never saw a crust that thick and hard, not even in a dominos pizza leftover from last night.
