One of the most reliable spots in all of San Diego. The grilled meats are the best with the perfect kiss of the fire.

This was a vibe. It gave you Mediterranean small cottage vibes on a sunny day. I ordered the patty melt. My gawd!!! Delicious is not the best adjective, mouthwatering is better. That reminds of the chicken skewers… they were orgasmic with each bite. In the neighborhood make sure to check this place out.

This is our go to take out Greek spot! It’s so delicious and we have been many times. They always have orders out quickly and on time. My husband says it’s the best gyro he’s ever had and the beef/chicken combo plate is the perfect meal!

I was glad to see there were a lot of vegetarian options on the menu, but the fried zucchini was a major fail. Sliced paper thin, no breading, and very oily. The lentil soup was delicious, however.

What can I say that every other five-star review hasn't already said over and over? Well let me try:
Donna and Nick and their team have created one of San Diego's most incredibly wonderful, affordable, cozy, romantic cafes that you will ever eat in. I just did it again and I took my leftovers home and just finished the most incredible second day leftover dinner. Thank you Donna. Thank you Olympic Cafe. You just messed up my diet and delighted my palate.
You go girl!

We were visiting in town and of course this place has been on our to go list. Where to begin the food is amazing, flavorful, good portions, great service and our server was so kind. We got the beef kabob plate and chicken/sausage plate both plates amazing. The rice, salads, dessert. 10 out of ten.

Most delicious Greek dishes with soft, fresh pita, crispy veggies, and savory sauces! Love fried zucchini, but it was sadly disappointing.

Service and sides were good. Gyro meat was disappointing- lacked spice and cut ultra thin, it lost its texture.
Excellent so yummy, clean and great atmosphere

This is a place I will continue to order take out from because the food is great. I have done so many times and also eaten here in person once before and had a lovely experience! Tonight my husband and I came in around 7:40, nearly an hour and a half before they close. The hostess told us to sit anywhere, including the heated patio. We chose to sit there and our waiter greeted us by asking “how are you going to ruin my night?” At first we thought it was just an odd joke but he kept making passive aggressive comments (while laughing like we were all in on it) about how the kitchen wanted to get people out early so they could go home, how another waitress was trying to close the patio early, etc. Around 8pm he began sweeping the patio and literally swept around our ankles while we were the only table there. I am all about an efficient close but there is absolutely no need to literally sweep under a table when customers are actively eating their dinner. I pointed out that if they didn’t want us to sit on the patio, the hostess should have told us to sit inside. He said “oh the owner wants us to stay open until 9” (fully 1 hour from the time of this conversation) and I responded by telling him “but t’s obvious that you don’t want to” — he assured me he’d stay as late as he needed to to ensure tables had a “good meal” — in no way were we overstaying our welcome or asking them to stay late, but he kept implying we were in an area that was closed, that we weren’t welcome, and that nobody in the restaurant wanted to be open that late. To the owner of this restaurant, please close earlier or ensure your staff is not passive aggressive to your customers in this way. I will spend my extra $ for tips and in-house, multi-course dining at restaurants that make it clear they value my business, and save my patronage for Olympic cafe for a takeout only situation. Yikes!

This review is for the lack of service my wife and I received. The man at the register simply looked at us standing there and sat two other people. We were clearly waiting but got ignored. Very concerning behavior.
