Ordered the Matcha Cortado with 80% sugar. This layered matcha milk tea uses their gyokuro green tea, matcha powder and sweetened house milk. It is very refreshing for an afternoon drink to unwind. The matcha powder is quite plentiful, so much that there's a little bit of an aftertaste of powder, but it's not offensive and tastes nice. This location is very busy in the afternoon and there is a line out the door. The interior of this location is very modern and aesthetically pleasing for photographs, no seating areas. The parking area is part of a large plaza with a Ralphs nearby so it can be a challenge but space is available.

First time customer here and I have some suggestions.Suggestion to other customers: please double check the order you received before leaving. Due to the large amount of order they receive, they have a much higher chance to mess up your order with another customer’s order.Suggestions to the management: in order to avoid messing up customers’ orders, besides writing what the drink is (what drink with what topping and add-ons etc), it’s a good idea to also write the order number on the cup.Finally decided to try after seeing the long line since it opened last July. It was Sunday afternoon and we were in line for 25 mins to order, and 10 mins more to wait for the order to be made. Ordered oolong milk tea with tiramisu, 30% sugar and house boba, but got one with aloe Vera boba instead. I think we got what the customer in front of us ordered.The milk tea and tiramisu tasted pretty standard to my liking, but still wished we got our order correctly given the 35 mins long wait time. We personally won’t return. Just wanted to try and see what’s the hype is this place all about.

My recent visit to Omomo Tea Shop left me quite disappointed. I ordered two matcha milk drinks, but they tasted spoiled. When I asked for a remake, they refused and insisted I pay for two new drinks. It was frustrating because the ones I received initially were undrinkable. I hope they reconsider their customer service approach and prioritize quality in the future. This was unacceptable and the employee was beyond rude

I was very excited to try their brown sugar boba tea. When I got there it was still crowded and no one had notified that their boba was out.Even while I was placing order and asked for the boba tea and cashier informed me that they were out of the brown sugar boba tea she did not say anything about boba particularly. Finally after placing my order and a few minutes later when I saw that other orders were without boba, I figured something Is missing. I came up to the cash register to make sure my order has boba where the other cashier told me they are out. That was probably manager who was very impolite and even rude. She said you can order it next time with Boba! Did not apologise or anything. She also added that her cash register is closed and there is no refund! I was not looking for refund just would have been nice to tell me that from the beginning.After the first time being not so costumer friendly and paying $6.50 for the tea that did not have main ingredient iam not so eager to return there. There are many other options with better customer service and providing product that you paid for!Management consider retraining your employees and emphasis the importance of good communication and quality of service!

Believe the hype you heard from your friends in the OC LA area who wait 30mins in line to get a drink from omomo. Its delicious. The line also goes really fast so dont be disheartened by it. This is my new SD go to boba shop.

My favorite boba place in SD. The cocoa latte with tiramisu foam is a must! However, be aware that this place gets CRAZY busy. When I came on a Saturday afternoon, I had to wait about 35 minutes in line, and then another 10–15 minutes after ordering. If you want to avoid lines, go during less busy hours like a weekday afternoon rather than evening or weekends.

Great spot for a refreshing tea in the Del Mar plaza. I don't think it lived up to the hype it had in Irvine, but it's still a delicious and affordable spot for boba! The teas are high quality and there's a variety of options for everyone.

The boba here is always delicious. The service was super quick despite how long the line was. In fact, they brought out a second cashier in order to make the line move faster, which I was a big fan of. My only issue is the quality of the drink seems to differ by location. I got the strawberry tornado, and usually there is more strawberry flavor mixed in. The strawberry tornado wasn't as good as it usually is at this location, but it still was very tasty. For a better quality drink, I would recommend not going right before closing.
Omomo is delicious. Especially the Omomo matcha. The matcha is very strong which shows that it's ceremonial grade. Would recommend to others.

This has quickly become my favorite milk tea spot in San Diego. When they first opened, I was bewildered by how many people were lining up outside. After trying it myself, I understand the hype. The quality of the tea and ingredients are unmatched. My top two favorite drinks are the Omomo Matcha and the Black Jade Milk Tea. The matcha flavor comes through nicely but isn't overwhelming. Paired with the matcha brulee cream, it's the perfect blended treat for matcha lovers. The Black Jade Milk Tea had the perfect balance of milk and tea. The drinks as well as the inside of the store are very aesthetically pleasing. You can tell they take their craft seriously here. The line is almost always long, but the staff is friendly and efficient. It's definitely worth the wait. I hope they open a second San Diego location that is more central, like Mission Valley or even Kearny Mesa.

Omomo was amazing it has the best drinks when ever we wash our dog we always get a drink at omomo which is beside the melt which serves burgers. The service is nice and quick and the way that the store makes you feel like you are in a cave, fabulous.

Honestly, I never ever heard of OMOMO before until I searched 'boba' yet everyone else in SoCal knows of its reputation. Don't come here expecting the typical boba because it's NOT that kind of place. Their menu consists of different series ex: Creamomo, Fruit Tea, Specials, and Seasonal/Momochi series) :: ORDER :: There are different "series" of drinks. Series were easy to follow except thr Creamomo section of the menu lists the type/name of teas. That's great and all but no description of flavor so if you are unfamiliar with that tea, better google while waiting in line. As much as I wanted to try a Creamomo series... I would have been blindly ordering so I played it super safe and went for a Seasonal drink from the Momochi series. TARO TARO WITH MOCHI + TIRAMISU FOAM - Its from the Seasonal menu/Momochi Series. In addition I added the TIraMisu foam because I never had that before. The drink was layered (Mochi cream at the bottom, taro taro in the middle, tiramisu foam on top) and flavor came in chronically logical order from bottom to top. The Mochi Cream was interesting, the texture was similar to melted marshmallows; soft and gooey. The Taro Taro was more of a blended shake consistency and was very light in taro flavor. The TiraMisu foam was foaming and reminded me of a melted down tiramisa flavored dessert/whip cream consistency. It was as if I was drinking a tiramisu through my boba straw. This drink was super filling, I had to unbutton my pants to finish it (oh come on... you know you do that too when you are unexpectedly start muffin-topping). This was more of a shake than anything else. HIGHLY RECOMMEND JABA APPROVED. Coming back to try many other drinks. Until the next review...
