A great place to go with a large party. My family and I go for the pizza and anti pasta salad. The Pepperoni and The works pizza are favorite. My husband loves the torpedo sandwich. They have yummy garlic bread. Great place..Reminds me hometown pizzerias I grew up with. We sometimes get a bottle of wine. This spot is reasonable priced. They can a accommodate big groups.

Unfortunately the best Italian food in north park is gone forever. Last day was 4-28.

Paesano is the best Italian restaurant I know but they are closing their doors for good next Sunday. We will miss them dearly!

So sad. Just stopped for dinner and a sign on the door says closed and thank you for 52 years in North Park. This restaurant will be missed. Such a shame. They had delicious food.

Paesano is on my list of favorite lunch spots. It's like a trip back to the 1960s. It looks like a set for "The Godfather." Nothing fancy, it's proud to be a neighborhood spot, serving all the Italian basics for very reasonable prices. For lunch I usually get lasagna, a salad with the crispiest lettuce ever and garlic bread for...get this...$5.99. For the same price you can also get spaghetti and meatballs or ravioli. And your food is served by a lovely, smiling young lady who could have been a model for a Renaissance master. If you like to support small, local businesses and appreciate good food at a reasonable price, you won't find a better place than Paesano.

Old school and delicious I've only been there for lunch as the lunch special is really really inexpensive I've always got the meat lasagna with the meat sauce

Great food in a warm cozy atmosphere. I've been a patron for decades. It's a Mom & Pops type of restaurant and they are both from Italy. Home cooking!

This place is a classic. I'm particularly from New York. Worked in pizzeria for 10 years. There's a bit of vintage to the place and not to be dismissed as meh. It's the food, it's got traditional Italian flare to it. I have no particular recommendation of food. The pizza, spaghetti and meatballs have what it takes to be New York. There are many California Italian joints but it's a interpretation. Forget that. Fanculo. Anyways, give the place a chance old traditions and different from the rest of North Park popular trendy places.

A cozy little Italian place with lovely decor, great service, and even better food. Quality local beers on tap and a decent wine selection as well.

My friend and I were looking to go to a restauraunt near North Park. There were other italian restauraunts with!better reviews but my friend decided on this spot because he thought the name sounded similar to a Spnaish curse word and it was fun to say. When we got here, it was pretty empty. There were a a few people but not much. The Menu was the same, not much. The Menu was as basic as you could get. I ordered the Minestrone soup and half order of chicken caesar salad. My friend ordered a pizza bread as an appitizer for the both of us. When we got our soup it wasn't boiling hot and it wasn't cold either. It was the perfect temperature if you wanted to scarf down soup fast. The flavor of the soup was ok. Wasnt amazing but wasn't bad either. When I got my half order of chicken caesar salad I was amazing on how big it was for only being a half order. The salad was almost perfect but the chicken was hot. I like my chicken on salads a lot cooler instead of burning hot. But the chicken was so perfectly seasoned and tasted absoluely amazing. I tried some of my friends ravioli and it was like the soup, ok. We had been waiting for the pizza bread appetizer the entire time but came to terms that the waiter had forgotten about it, but we didn't fret. We still left full. When the waiter brought our check he told us that it had just dawned on him that he had forgotten the appetizer and to remind him next tome we came in and it would be on the house. Our waiter was extremely kind but he gave me the vibe that if anyone ever messed with him, he would take them outside and beat them up. If you were good to him he was good to you. That's the vibe I got. Luckily I was as nice as peach pie so I was treated very well from him. Over all , everything was just ok. Nothing was bad, nothing was terrible. Just not memorable. If I could give a word of advice it would be to come up with more dishes. There isn't a lot of options for soups or entrees. Not a place I would brag about but if a friend suggested coming here I wouldn't deny the invite. A huge plus was they have a good variety of craft beer. Most places that offer craft beer focus on solely IPA's. This restaurant had a good different mix that was a nice change.

We had a great dinner here. The amount of food is a lot for the price and quality. My brother and I took our leftovers fot lunch the next day and and enjoyed a second meal, all for the price of 1. We would go back for sure. Everything we tried was good

I had the baked ziti. It was kind of small, I wanted more! The marinara sauce was amazing and felt homemade. I went with co-workers so we ordered ahead and when we got there the table was set with utensils and glasses of water. Once we were all seated the food started pouring out. It felt comforting and the staff were so kind. This place is family owned and it shows. Great place.
