Our group was vegetarians and vegans and everyone was very happy. I've had banh mi without the mayo before, but having a vegan aioli made it so much better. The service was very friendly and efficient. The seating is outside in a lovely courtyard, but depending on the time of day could be shady/ chilly, or sunny. You stand in a line to enter and order at a counter.

We dropped in to Panama 66 for a quick lunch. I got their tuna melt with a cup of tomato soup, which was delicious. Also got their 2 taco plate, which was also very good.

Hard to beat location on a pretty day in Balboa park by the sculpture garden. There were several options. The tofu banh mi had a nice ratio of bread to filling. The staff was super nice and chatty.

I loved that they has a lot of classic cocktails with a twist and quite a few tiki style drinks. I ended up having four drinks cause I just couldn't choose! Staff was really friendly and fast. I loved the Matza platter the most of the food we ordered.

Visited Balboa Park and tried this place for lunch. Ordered the Park Burger. The beef is juicy and the burger is tasty. Ordered the spinach salad as well but the dressings is a bit heavy and makes it a bit salty. Love the atmosphere and it's outdoor setting. It's a nice place to grab a quick bite.

IMHO on of the best places in central San Diego. Great outdoor setting in the sculpture garden. Tasty elevated bar food - burgers, melts, salads, etc. Good selection of beer and wine, cocktails, etc. Friendly staff and sometimes live music - though can get a bit loud. One of our go to standbys.
