Great outdoors Bar and Restaurant. Wednesday nights are Jazz nights. We did not have dinner, only drinks. Burgers other guests were having looked good.

Great service & tasty sandwich, split it with a friend. Feel free to sit at the bar for faster seating.

We were there twice while on vacation in the San Diego area and Balboa Park museums. Had local halibut and then the chicken adobo plate. Both very good. My husband had the chicken Banh Ami which was also very good.

Panama 66 offers a vibrant atmosphere that's hard to beat, complete with live jazz bands, a wide array of local craft brews, and a decent food selection. The ambiance sets the perfect backdrop for a chill evening with friends or a laid-back date night. While my tuna melt did taste a bit off, the friendly staff and overall great vibe more than made up for it. Whether you're a jazz enthusiast, a beer aficionado, or just looking for a cool hangout spot, Panama 66 delivers on all fronts. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Counter order and they will bring your food to your table. Food is delivered to the tables pretty quickly. Open seating outdoors so it can be a bit chilly on some days.Their salads are good. Big portions too. The truffle Parmesan fries were a hit as well.

The ordering is something I'm never a fan of with a family, getting handed menus at the entrance and told to order first in person and then find a table. Also makes a tip option before you even sit... America is getting a little too entitled in the food industry. There was no table service but a runner that brings the table food when ready. So really, your tip should be focused on the cook. But should it?Anyway, $67 for 3 people. They do have a kids menu which is a nice option for your kid and not a $20 adult plate, which isn't entirely unreasonable. Also, the food was very tasty! The Cheese Burger was a good grade of meat and well seasoned. The bun didn't fall apart. The fries that come with it also tasty. The Soba salad has multiple protein options to add, we chose salmon. The salmon was well cooked and not a fishy smell. Cold noodles and greens accompanied it. A nice blend! They have outdoor seating mainly. They supply heat lamps outside and also an outside bar. They also have an amazing selection of live music on most evenings, check thier calendar for who's playing. We enjoyed the scenery of Balboa park combined with this eating option and would recommend eating there to you.

Love the draft beer selection, paired with my favorite Brussel sprouts from any restaurant, its a must have! Got to love when they have live music/dancing of the finest quality. Don't forget to check out the museum on your way out!

Amazing place for ambiance and to let the kids run around in the fenced sculpture garden. Service was great and food was solid.

Staff was extremely rude to our family. They are not only rude to people who are not “cool”, they were clearly treating races differently as well. The hostess (blond woman) was agitated and angry for the elder members of my family asking her questions, the clearly treated white customers graciously while treating our clearly Mexican family poorly. The only kind and outstanding worker was the one taking our food orders (he had a beard and a hat and Is very kind) . The staff chastised us for turning a heater on during a cold day as well. The food is alright but not for the price point. Unless ur a white hipster the treatment is very poor and rude especially. For the money you spend.

Kid-friendliness: The staff was very rude, had horrible attitudes. They got mad when we adjusted the outdoor heater because it was off. Very unhelpful. they need a staff change. Racist staff and the microaggressions were strong in this establishment. The tables were wet, we had to dry them ourselves. Servers didn't really do much but judge and be unhelpful.
