Panorama Bar & Grill

The service here is above and beyond. This restaurant has a beautiful view during sunset, and the servers and manager are so hospitable. They offered to make me a drink free of charge. I’d go back more often, if I lived closer! I highly recommend trying them if you’re in San Diego, for the service and the fresh poke bowl.

Highly recommend the acai bowl for breakfast. The homemade granola and almond butter with the fresh fruits blended well together. Impressed by the presentation as well. The waiters and host were very nice too!

I very rarely leave bad reviews, especially from a restaurant I didn’t get the chance to eat at. But my partner and I came down for breakfast at 10:42AM, when the host greeted us he told us that breakfast was ending in 3 minutes (the website says 11AM) and that we should order take out if we wanted breakfast. It wasn’t until I looked unpleased that he reluctantly offered to seat us.

We chose not be seated or order take out. I worked in the service industry for over 10 years and I understand that when a customer comes in close to closing time it can be frustrating. I also understand doing last call for the Kitchen slightly earlier than closing because the kitchen needs time prepare the food and clean up. But when offering take out as an option, the reason for not seating us is not due to the last call for food, it was because the servers did not serve guests past 11AM. This is what was frustrating with my experience.

As a past restaurant manager I would be extremely disappointed if my staff turned away business because they simple did not want to serve another table 18 minutes before closing. Also since it was for breakfast, an experienced server should be able to turn the table by 11:20AM at the latest. There is no chance that the entire kitchen and service staff would have had the entire restaurant cleaned and closed up by 11:20AM.

Overall, I was very unimpressed with the professionalism of the host.

We ate there during our stay 3/4 days. The smoked salmon toast , Hawaiian breakfast and hurevos rancheros were amazing. Food was great for breakfast. We did not have a chance to try dinner, but enjoyed every morning there. The views of the harbor were a great way to wake up.

Hair found in food TWO TIMES. overpriced and overall not worth the money. Cleary poor health practices in the kitchen. Do not recommend.

Over the past 5 years, this place has gone downhill, in regards to ambience. There was music, we would dance to. The music venue changed and it wasn't conducive to dancing it was just rather loud.Now, no music!!It was an intimate cocktail lounge.Now, it's an unassuming bar.Folks, the place has no atmosphere.

Food was not as good as it should be for the price. Service was OK and should have been better for what they charge. The best thing we had was the pepperoni pizza the first night we were here.

Shrimp tacos from Panorama Bar & Grill were devine. Every bite was delicious.
