Nice atmosphere but the food came out cold, and then the coffee finally came out about 20 minutes after the food. I wouldn't go back.

Ordered a caramel latte - out of caramel. Ok, I can deal with that. As we were sitting inside, a customer came in with a dog (I can deal with dog friendly) but the dog proceeded to put his paws on the counter and they gave the dog a lick of gelato and then did not bother to wipe the counter after. Some dog people might be ok with this, but I personally prefer pets don’t have contact with food service areas.

I always go to Pappalecco when in town. Tonight I got gelato and was sadly disappointed. The quality has gone down hill. Not sure if this establishment has changed hands, but it sure seems that way. The gelato was grainy and the flavors were not up to the standards that I expect from this place. I’m sad that I will need to find a new spot for gelato.
It tastes good but is obscenely over priced. Rounded up my order without asking then asked for an additional tip. Tacky.
Very authentic-feeling Italian cafe experience. Staff is very friendly, but both times I've been, they seemed understaffed and we had extremely long wait times for food/coffee.
No dogs inside, but they are more than happy to accommodate them in outdoor seating.

The veggie quiche was mussy and served on a chipped plate. The veggie panini was extremely small and not anything special. It was on a different kind of roll instead of a normal panini.
The Gelato so so. She said you have to buy 2 scoops.. We got one small size only... There was a person smoking next to us so I asked if smoking was allowed next to a building he said, "it's only one cigarette."
The bathroom is dirty..
This place used to be better. Sorry for a bad review it just missed every point you want at a restaurant..
Oh and had to wait at the counter forever for water.
Food came out separately.
Won't return again.

Love this cafe!! Located in Little Italy it's a must for some Italian coffee and gelato. The almond Cornetto was amazing!!! It was just like they made them in Italy! They have gelato and panini. We also tried the prosciutto panino. They serve Nutella and lemon crostate, so authentic! Small quaint Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service, will definitely be returning to try more!

I would give zero stars if I could. I don’t know how this place has good reviews. The gelato is ok, but what really got my goat was how rude and inhospitable the ladies working at this place are. Simply don’t work in a customer service role if you have such a rude and aggressive nature. I was told I couldn’t get one scoop of ice cream, so I got two and asked if I could please split it into two cups, no, no, no, everything I asked was a no and due to their ‘policy’, this is what happens when a place has tourists and they know they’ll get the business anyway, they don’t care about the service they provide. I don’t usually use my social media which has a large following for negative situations, but I will be using it for this. To the owner of the business, hire people who represent you.

Cute spot and friendly staff. The bread for the panini was delicious but the tofu and avocado filling could have been elevated by some heat, acid and salt & pepper. The coffee looked delicious but I didn’t try any this time round. #Veganuary

Got one for my mom. Appalled that the cannolis here are rated in the top 10 in San Diego yet this is one of the most sub par we’ve ever had. The fact that it was also the smallest I’ve even seen and nearly $9 is crazy. Maybe best to just make your own or hold off for a visit to Chicago or Boston.

If you come for lunch sit outside because it’s hot inside, AC seems to be not working. Excellent service and even better food ?
