Very small and located in the middle of UTC. The service was great and the food wasn't bad. I prob won't be going again but I'd recommend for a great tasty snack

Excellent empanadas. The spicy beef and mushroom tasted great.

They were just okay. I got the chicken and I agree with another reviewer that the crust tasted like stale saltine crackers. The filling was just okay. The one I got tasted old unfortunately. Worker was nice and attentive!

They're cheap, but now I know why. They're tasteless but also manage to taste bad at the same time. It tastes like frozen food you find at the back of your freezer from 3-years ago and stick in the microwave. That's the best analogy I can think of, but honestly, I rather have that 3-years old frozen food than this.
Plus, the workers looked really annoyed to be there and acted like it too. Not good vibes at all.

I had the Chicken Chipotle empanada. It cost 4$ and was extremely delicious, especially when paired with the chimichurri sauce they provided. The flavor was very nice and not overpowering. They had two window counters open during rush hour on a Saturday evening, so the lines went pretty fast. I loved my empanada and will be returning to try more of the flavors.

Yuck! They taste like store-bought and are barely half filled. Avoid this place.
There was a strong smell of urine. I should have made a U-turn. The empanadas were gross- tiny, flavorless and the crust was crunchy and thin- like a saline cracker. Empanadas tasted freezer burnt. Hot Pockets are a superior choice for much less money. The tablespoon sized container of chimichurri was not fresh and tasted off which is why I tossed it into the garbage. See photo. AVOID
Parking: Don’t waste your time.

Best tasting and one of the best things I've ever eaten in San Diego. Hands down!! Bravo!! They've consistently done phenomenal work with their empanadas and I've felt like taking more of them home for later!! Sometimes I just wished my family would visit me and I'll take them here. Chicken and Chicken Chipotle empanadas are absolutely amazing.
I'm shocked the sauces are so good, it beats or comes close to the Asian and South Asian cuisine I'm used to eating. We don't even get this level of Mexican food in Toronto! So I'd say more and more restaurants and small shop owners in San Diego need to put immense thought and care that goes into a good recipe and flavor like these guys do for their empanadas.
So delicious!

Pretty sure their dough is the exact same one they make hot pockets with. Chipotle chicken had no spice/flavor.

This place has the most delicious empanadas! So many flavors to chose from. I opted for 4 different ones to share with my group. I love that there are so many vegetarian options too. Each empanada was hot and fresh. I don't think they actually make them on site but they do taste fresh and they are hot.
Each empanada has a nice sturdy crust so you can eat as a hand held, nice amount of filling in each and ample amount of seasoning for a unique flavor with each empanada.
The staff were helpful and offered that the sauce is complimentary. I typically eat the empanada on their own but I did taste olive sauce and it was delicious. The downside - which isn't truly a downside - so many flavors and all so amazing that it's hard to pick which ones to indulge in.
Each little pie is marked in the crust so you know which one you're eating. I'll be back.
This is more of a food stand/small walk in building which doesn't offer inside dining. Your order is packaged to go and you can sit and enjoy at any of the seating areas in the mall.

The dough is a little dry, but the filling fully makes up for it. They are a good size with a lot of meat and juicy.
