The pastries are always good, but I ordered a cold brew with vanilla cream foam and I think the cold brew went bad. The taste was sour and unpleasant but the vanilla cream foam tasted fine. Maybe just a bad batch.

I ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk and vanilla syrup, and it was the first matcha I truly enjoyed — after trying it here, I actually fell in love with matcha. The almond milk is excellent, with no bitterness or unpleasant aftertaste like I’ve experienced in other cafés. The matcha itself is delicious, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

This was at Paris Baguette, a bakery and take-out café located inside H Mart, Mira Mesa, San Diego, California. The staff are very polite and attentive, always ready to answer questions and help with your order.

I highly recommend trying the matcha here — it’s really tasty and high-quality!

I ordered a pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart), crab meat croquette, and an iced matcha latte. The egg tart and croquette was good but I think they put too much matcha in the latte, it gave me a headache.
The annoying thing about this location is H-Mart made the entrance to Paris Baguette an exit forcing customers to have to walk across that dirty and smelly super market to get to the bakery, and have to pass by all the slow walking shoppers with carts, in order to get to the bakery.

I like H-Mart just not this particular location because it stinks 👃👃👃and I can’t find what I need. The H-Mart in convoy is much better. The parking at this location I am not even gna go into it 🙄 that’s a whole other story.

This company offers catering services that include boxes with croissants, cakes, coffee etc.
We had an event scheduled for Saturday morning and we’ve ordered food for a group of people 3 days in advance. The order was scheduled to be delivered at 9 am in the morning. 5 minutes before the estimated delivery time they called us and said that they canceled the order because they don’t have products that we’ve ordered. The worst catering experience I’ve ever had.

I usually really love this place and have come countless times, but this last visit pretty much sealed the deal on me not coming back to this location anymore. I recently stopped by on Sunday 7/20/25 between 1-1:30 pm. As I was placing my pastries on my tray, I was bumped by another customer and one of my pastries fell off the tray and onto the floor. My husband and I picked up the pastry, grabbed a second, new one, for our tray and proceeded up to the register. As they were ringing up our $30+ of pastries, we handed the dirty pastry over and told the associates it had fallen to the floor. One associate said we had to pay half of what it was worth. I confirmed and asked if we really had to pay for the dirty pastry and she confirmed. Fair. So we agreed and paid half price. The girl proceeded to throw away the dirty pastry after charging us for it. She didn’t even ask if we wanted to keep it. Not that we would have eaten it, but I was surprised we were basically forced to pay for something just so they can throw it away. As other customers overheard our interaction, I can only imagine that this would incentivize customers to place dirty pastries back on shelves in order to avoid having to pay for them. We then asked them why they didn’t ask us if we wanted to keep it and the associate said she assumed we wouldn’t want it. She then said she can give us a new one and grabbed another one. Then the associate at the register proceeded to charge us for a new one when we never confirmed we wanted to buy a new one. We just left, assuming the receipt was in the box. When we were driving on the freeway, I checked and they did not even bother to give us a receipt. Needless to say, we are not the type of people to make a huge fuss but we do value customer service. While the pastries are good, the lack of customer service wins out over food taste. We simply decided that there are plenty of other pastry/cake places we can spend our money on and going out of our way to grab food here is no longer worth it.

Ive been coming here for yrs. However I have since moved away. My ailing stepmother wanted some raisin pin wheels. I went to 2 other places she told me to go too but they didn't have anything she wanted. I decided to go here as I love the pastries here. They had what I was looking for. She enjoyed the pastries.

This location lists their hours as opening at 7am, but they are inside of the h mart which doesn’t open until 8am, so you can’t access the bakery until 8am. Another customer called them to see if they do open at 7 and let people in, and they said no, h mart opens at 8, and they open at 8. They were pretty rude, didn’t have everything put out, while there was an influx of customers at 8, and they couldn’t make any of the new drinks which were displayed on the screen, so I had to ask what lattes they had since there were no other coffee lattes displayed.

Cashier uncarefully wiped off sweat off their face with a single napkin before making my drink and was even adjusting their hat and touching hair/face before handling people's items. While the cashier didn't directly touch anyones food, they did touch the packaging openings that the food or the customer would come in contact with. They should at least change their gloves before continuing. They should be retrained on food handling.

Food wasn't very fresh and definitely could use some reheating to be better.

Coffee drink wasn't anything special.

A small corner located inside H mart so no seating like other locations.
Cases were well stocked everything seemed fresh with the item tags showing date and time on the back for employees to manage.

This is one of my favorite bakery-cafes in San Diego. I bought a Multigrain Bread, Whole Red Bean Bread, and Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie. I love Strawberries Soft Cream Cake. Everything looks delicious and tastes great, you have to try it!

Paris Baguette in Mira Mesa is like a little slice of Paris....Vietnamese style without the long flight. Their House Special (Đặc Biệt) is a must-try, packed with layers of savory grilled pork (Thịt Nướng) and juicy pork belly (Ba Chỉ) that will make your taste buds do a happy dance. The flavors are bold, the portions generous, and the vibe is just right. It’s a perfect spot if you’re craving a fusion of French charm and Vietnamese flavor in the heart of Mira Mesa. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to eat like a Parisian... with a little extra pork!

Paris Baguette always smells great with a variety of attractive pastries. The service is friendly and fast. The pastries taste a little sweet for me. Anyway, I often walk around when going out of the HMart.

The pastries and cakes are so delicious! Honestly best place to buy bread and cakes. The sweetness of the pastries are perfect, not too sweet or dry. Definitely coming back again.
