Service was excellent! I came on a Sunday, they sat us down right away, I had my dog with me so we sat on the patio. Plenty of shade. Service was speedy. Food was delicious. Great place for a good breakfast/brunch.

I’ve been wanting to check out Parkhouse Eatery for a while, and I finally stopped in for brunch. It was very busy, and the only seating available for two people was inside. Unfortunately, it was extremely loud—hard to have a conversation without raising our voices. The service was just okay; the guy helping us was running between the inside and outside tables, so I’m not sure if they were short-staffed, but it felt a bit scattered.
As for the food, it unfortunately didn’t hit the mark for us. Everything looked good, but it tasted bland and lacked the flavor we were hoping for. For a place with such a strong brunch reputation, we were expecting more depth and seasoning in the dishes.
That said, Parkhouse Eatery clearly has a loyal following, and the atmosphere was lively. I’d still recommend checking it out for yourself—maybe our visit was just an off day—but for us, it was more of a one-and-done experience.

Parkhouse Eatery has solid food and a great dog-friendly patio. I’ve been twice and both visits were consistent in terms of food — the Chilaquiles are a highlight, and portion sizes are generous enough for leftovers.
The service, though, is hit or miss. On both visits, staff seemed more focused on chatting with each other than helping guests. Refills, drinks, and checks all took longer than they should have. That said, they were kind and accommodating when I asked for a side of eggs for my dog, which I appreciated.
Great food, nice atmosphere — just know you may need to be a bit patient.

This place was so good that when I was visiting, I went two mornings in a row!! The stuffed French toast was to DIE for, the pancakes melt in your mouth, & the Asian rice brunch dish was sooo good. There is literally nothing bad on this menu. The mimosas were some of the best I’ve ever had too! Not too sweet & fresh orange juice taste. I would highly recommend!

This is my favorite breakfast place in San Diego. Your coffee cup is always filled and the food is fabulous.

About as good a chilaquiles as you are going to find in all of San Diego county. Make sure you add a protein. My favorite is the carnitas. It’s just the right amount of meat and saltiness to the dish. The key is the chips are fresh and crispy. Not soggy at all. The challah French toast is amazing as well. Add a cocktail to finish things off with. Atmosphere is super chill and quaint. Plenty of parking all around the block.

Loved this spot! After a hike, we stumbled on Parkhouse Eatery and were instantly drawn in by the cozy vibe and massive, fluffy pancakes. The staff was super friendly, the micheladas were refreshing, and the portions were huge and delicious. Wish I lived closer I'd be back all the time!

In 2023, I decided to try this place for brunch. 2 years later, it’s hands down one of my favorite places to enjoy brunch with friends. This year alone I have already celebrated 2 special occasions here(yes, they do have a birthday club). I’m addicted to their mimosas and Eggs Benedicts. Pair the excellent food with the cozy environment and you’ve got the perfect brunch spot.

Parkhouse is my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I’ve never had bad service there, and I’ve only had one disappointing meal in ten years (Breakfast Pizza, but again had it ten years ago). Their churro pancake is the best pancake I’ve ever had, and I’ve been known to get the Parkhouse Club with mashed potatoes a lot. Like a lot. The specials are always worth hearing, and often at least one person I’m with gets a special. Don’t sleep on their dinner menu. Again, the pasta specials are the best. Their veggies are so good; they’d turn anyone on to eating their greens.
