Our server Javi was amazing! My husband and I visited here for the first time and Javi really made our experience great. Service was super attentive and warm.

I also had the spicy tofu scramble, which was incredible. Hubby had the Mexican mocha which was rich, warm, and just the right amount of sweet.

We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

Best brunch in San Diego

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes comment got us in the door. So glad we did. They offer a pancake combo, and offered a lemon ricotta pancake with blueberry sauce when asked. The house chicken sausage patty looked to me like a cookie. Well, it certainly is NOT a cookie, and a few chunks were nice and spicy.
Nothing short of excellent.
My wife found some pan fried linuini with eggs, feta, basil... and it has perhaps changed some our thinking about pasta for Brunch. A red sauce piped around the plate was extra delectable.
A large old house converted to a restaurant. Outdoor seating on the grounds, well landscaped and maintained.
Excellent Mexican Mocha with Oatmilk, though I keep hoping for a cayenne version, this one was remarkably tasty absent the extra heat.
Lots of 2 and 4 tops, table or counter height. A decent crew of attendants who never left you wondering where they went.
Beautiful surroundings, and despite this being our only visit, exceptional culinary skills in evidence.
Glad I didn't go with the short stack, as this portion was ample.

Nice, cozy spot for breakfast. Great selection with unique takes on the classics . Avg about $15 - $25 per dish, so a bit on the pricey side for some for breakfast but if u do Dennys or IHOP your going to pay about that amount anyways but get better quality, unique choices and better ambiance. Want to try their interesting options for Benedicts on the next visit.

I grabbed dinner at this American spot the other night, and it turned out better than I thought. The place has a cozy, kinda hometown feel, and the staff was pretty chill and helpful. I ordered a grilled chicken plate with veggies, and everything tasted fresh, maybe a bit light on seasoning for me but still really good overall. My friend got a classic cheeseburger and said it hit the spot. The prices were reasonable too, which is always nice these days. Not the fanciest place around, but definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for simple, good food without any fuss.

Excellent sandwiches (tho not cheap) and a nice outside area in front make this a great place for lunch. University Heights is known for terrible nighttime parking. Lunch avoids that hot mess.

Turkey club is my fave, with Caesar salad, which is tasty and not over-dressed. Be aware the mashed potatoes are much closer to a baked potato than typical mashed. I prefer it that way, but my wife didn't.

Also, the mimosa is fun-sized, so a great value.

NOT TODAY!

I will give you another shot next year.

I used to come here often when I lived on Adams and Park about 3-4 years ago. I decided to visit for breakfast this weekend with friends and was highly disappointed and grossed out. This place has taken the overpopulation in the area for granted and serving mediocre/substandard food at high prices. This quality of food has no place in this area and unquestionably not at $25-30/plate. Crab is overpriced and tasteless. The breakfast burrito and potatoes tasted like reheated truck stop food. The food was bland and unnecessarily WAY overly spiced. Parkhouse, you have become complacent in today’s restaurant dine-out culture. And please clean the restaurant— it’s disgusting.. everything’s coated with a layer of dust. I started sneezing 5-10 after I got here. What a shame!

Crowded on weekends because food and service are very good. The woman who waited on me, Ethelyn, was wonderful! She was super helpful with everything, especially the menu. She was very welcoming and friendly and energetic. Loved her; she made the experience even better.

Food was incredible!!! Especially the Chilequilles (green) with carnitas, Churro pancake, and mimosa flight! Service was a little 'less attentive' than we like. Not bad, just slow to check back in to see if we need more coffee or when we were ready to pay.

The food was good and our service was great. But A girl with dirty blonde hair up in a clip 10/03/25 was in the back talking about my 2 year old with autism making fun of her saying she copped a feel with her and making fun of her cheering…all she did was just reach for her back pocket for her phone. Which I had stopped my daughter from doing but she never grabbed her. Over heard her saying that to cooks when I went to the bathroom . Disgusting behavior and very odd to say about a 2 year old child. Never coming back.
