You must come here if you're a tourist or local San Diegan. As everyone else has already said, Chef Michel is the best for authentic homemade pastries. Moreover, he treats you with world class service. When we went he was closed since he was preparing for a special event held annually. I called him and he came and opened the store for me and my friends. I couldn't ask for a better bakery. Chef Michel is truly the best.

They do not get any better then Chief Michele. I was raised by a French Grandmother who herself was raised in Lyon --France-- His food and creations are jus tax delicious as a home-prepared french meal - that my Grandmere would have made. Chef Michel makes the best pastries and cakes by far. I first found him at the Hillcrest Farmer's market. I don't accept that anyone else make the cake for my birthday except Chef Michel. If you want great pastries and cakes, don't waste your time anywhere else. Chef Michel is also very nice and easy to deal with and the prices are very fair for this quality of product.
