I’m A driver for Uber and I stopped in to grab a morning coffee and something to eat. I used my Upside app that Uber offers for discounts throughout San Diego and the country. I’m sure. And it prompted a code and a scan which I did with Andrew. And then Andrew told me it was not paid for although on the app it showed payment through my Discover card and that it had processed when I asked for further help Andrew got irritated so I quickly paid in another way and stepped aside to figure out what could’ve happened. I ultimately paid $24.16 for a small iced coffee and a mediocre sandwich. When I return to try to get more assistance with the app payment for what I realized was now a virtual gift card Andrew was irritated dismissive and basically told me I would have to only deal with the app for customer service. I did that, and they kept prompting me to double check with the Petes location for the virtual gift card. Andrew again told me it’s not a thing and I would need to speak with the app customer service. I further investigated and found a QR code through the app which does in fact scan. So now I have paid for a coffee and sandwich but now have a gift card for $11.58 that I can only use at The Hillcrest location unfortunately. It would be nice if people like Andrew would give people like me a little more courtesy to understand what went wrong and maybe help investigate rather than be dismissive and rude. I now know that I have a gift card virtual for $11.58. Have he been patient and maybe a little helpful we could’ve discovered this together and I would not have had to pay another $11.58 plus I tipped him a dollar so $12.58. Extremely unhappy with the service here I am a local and this should never have happened.

Horrible experience today when simply ordering a cold brew and a water cup, employee rudely handed us an empty water cup after having to specify we wanted water in it then when we asked for it to be filled up she rudely stated “oh so you did want water” ??? Then after not responding to our thank yous, she proceeded to gossip about us in front of our faces to another male employee.

First time at this location. The service was fast and pleasant. I had the Savory Bacon sausage cheddar crispy…it was Amazing for the price. Don’t under estimate their breakfast items. I also had their Green tea with one tea bag. Definitely coming here again. (Sorry forgot to take a picture of the sandwich).

I love Peets coffee. Obviously, everyone has a preference between Starbucks and Peets, but I'll pick Peets every time. I think SB's coffee tastes burned/sour to me. They need more locations in the Chula Vista area!
