This restaurant has shut down , no indication if they are moving to another location.

Sadly, this will be a five-star memory review, as Pegasus is no longer open. The wonderful owners decided it was time to retire and those of us who live nearby will miss them and their marvelous food.

Visited first time during the 2019 holidays and we found it to be a great place for dining for some very good Mediterranean food. Service was quick and friendly. Though it's a family run business, we find the place perfect for quick k dining and homely service. It never disappoint and we're even more pleased the third time around. We recommend this place looking to have some authentic Mediterranean cuisine and family friendly service!!!! Ya-sou.

Such a sad portrayal of Greek food. I don't understand all the great reviews, obviously folks haven't had authentic Greek food. While I appreciate they offer vegetarian items like veggie pastitso and spanakopita, they have absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Rice is bland. Spanakopita has way too much phyllo and was so dry. Rice is completely lacking flavor. The Tzatziki was completely watered down, like a salad dressing. Avgolemono soup isn't that at all. Where's the rice and chicken? Skip this place and try Yanni's in Scripps Ranch. A little farther away but worth the drive.

Tried this via Uber Eats and ordered the Tria Souvlaki plate and the small hummus deluxe. It came to over $40 and to say it was a rip off is being nice. The meat was over cooked, the cous cous smelled and tasted like it was cooked in mildew and we had to throw it away. The best part was the pita bread. We will not be going back, I don't know how this place has such good reviews. Beware.

Family run business - no part-time kids workig there. Food is cooked and served by the adult family members. My first time at this cafe, tried their moussaka (or moussaka). Very tasty food. From now on this will be my go to Greek food outlet. Regret not going there before today as it is easy walking distance from my home.

The lamb souvlaki plate is ALWAYS prepared perfectly. And Baklava is a must. So thankful for my favorite Greek restaurant.

The Best Greek/Mediterranean Restaurant hands down, IMO! I've been stopping by since 2004 ~ and I'll make the one hour drive from where I live to go here. For example, I have had my share of Falafel in California, Israel and the Middle East, but in my opinion they make the absolute best! I have always liked everything I've ordered. When I'm in the area, I will stop by and enjoy! The owners are the kindest people and they are so welcoming. Hope you give them a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

EDIT: I'm not sure what Mezze we got - we ordered the vegetarian one, and got some of the (vegetarian) other items. All good The rest of the food was still fantastic, and my opinion of it being the best doesn't change. Just sad I accidentally ate meat. The best Greek place in San Diego, hands down. I went here with my friend, who eats meat, so I have both perspectives this time! TLDR: Phenomenal food, served on takeout containers, very authentic - more people need to come here so they can make more money (and get more plates). Fantastic value as well for the price! Mezze - At $11.45 it's a well priced appetizer. It's unfortunately plated in a Togo box, but don't let that fool you. Every item in this was fantastic; - falafel: truly the best in town (the food critic in me would like garlic in this just cuz that's how I make it, but it was perfect nonetheless) - yalandi: surpringly great. - hummus: top tier - pita: perfect - tyropites: this was amazing, didn't know this exited the cheese was melting fresh as I ate it Falafel Sandwich - the pita was fluffy and light, and the falafel was fantastic (as stated earlier) - this came with a nice tahini sauce Only complaints - I wish this came with hummus inside the pita and a side of tzaki as well (Maybe add $1 for hummus?) Gyro Sandwich "I literally couldn't put it down" - my friend. He's typically one who doesn't eat fast; not today, he devoured that. The shwarma was juicy and tender and flavor was great. Perfect: 5/5 He actually liked it so much, he wants to go again tomorrow (we just ate LOL)

Excellent authentic Greek food combined with service in a warm and friendly environment. The Dolmades were exceptionally good.

Ordered the Pegasus Combo to go and everything was good except they substituted grilled chicken breast for the chicken souvlaki. Grilled chicken needed more seasoning and a little on the dry side. I have dined in this cafe before and the food was excellent.

Far as I'm concerned, it's the best Greek restaurant in the county. I always want to go there when I'm visiting my bestie in RB. So glad they have hung in there after all the wretchedness of last year. Love the egg lemon soup, the gyros salad, the hummus, the dolmades, the moussaka, the spanakopita. Not a good day for carbs once that basket of warm, soft pita bread is placed on your table.

I have loved this place for over 10 years now. The food is always great. I love the owners, they are so sweet.
